Should we be worried that players now feel they have to come out in support of puels questionable tactics? Why two of them?

Read between the lines! I was meaning that usually when players come out in support of their manager it means the manager might be on his way out ie the kiss of death!

Forget the stuff about "reading between the lines". Your OP refers overtly to "puels [sic] questionable tactics". That's the issue. The players are explaining to fans why choosing the so-called Best XI for each game is not going to work. What is required is "squad rotation". Simple concept.

Lets be honest Puels had us playing well in patches his issue is the obsession of making Redmond a striker and IMO it will cost us finishing 8th or 9th if he carries it on, the aim has to be 8th or 9th and a good cup run as I think Man City Spurs Man U Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool and LCFC will finish top 7, EFC will fade off and finish 8th with us possibly finishing 9th.

It's posters on here who think Puel has an obsession without knowing sweet FA about him who have the obsession.

Nothing to see, move on.

MOTD obviously disagree with you..made Redmond MOTM and raved about him on Sunday!

Players had it easy under RK. CP doubled up the sessions and expects a lot more. The wins arrived at the perfect time and they are deserved wins. It's time for fans to stop worrying and get behind the players and manager. Anyone see the Everton score tonight?...can't say I'm surprised. All being set up for a weeks golf in Portugal and the Everton xmas mega slump. All in the script!

Absolute rubbish, we finished 7th and 6th. Koeman was brilliant.

Koeman was competant. Nothing more. And he only cared about the first team. Think the club as a whole will progress more under the current coach if the fans give him the chance without *****ing about every little thing. The whole concept of this thread (that he's somehow in trouble because two players have come out and praised his methods) is ridiculous.

Koeman was obviously a lot more than competent...our league positions under him tell the true story. And as for "only caring about the first team" so he ****ing should...he was first team coach! Or would you rather see us fighting relegation but happy because the under 18s won their league?

Read Niall Quinn's article on the Southampton Way. The crux of how clubs of our size compete in the modern football environment is being prepared for when we inevitably lose players by making sure that we have more good players coming through than the number we lose. In this way we keep moving forward and Quinn was heaping praise on Southampton whilst lamenting that Sunderland hadn't the foresight to do something similar.

Koeman was a good short-term manager but I believe Puel is a better coach and will be better for the club in the long term.

......and hopefully he will do that ....in the long term .

Only problem being - if we are too successful, he might find his way up the list of replacements at Arsenal when Wenger retires next year.:scared:

Can't see Arsene NOT bothering to recommend one of his own protegé's - can you ?

No, you read between the lines when the BOARD come out in support of the manager.

Here, you are trying to mind read, which is not advisable given that the Echo report is based on the reporters interpretation of what Romeu/Bertrand was saying.

And i'm sure its more like, 'hey, we're busy so if i'm dropped it beacuse i'm being saved for the next match, not because i'm sheet.'

Time will tell. It's looking good so far since he has had a very positive effect on an Everton side without radically changing the line up. However, my point would be that it is the club rather the manager that brings players in. The coach has the job of getting the best out of them. Our recruitment is so good that most decent coaches will be able take them to a top 10 finish. It's pushing on from there that will show just how good the coach is. My point is that whilst Koeman deserves some credit, it is the players that got us where we were last season.

Personally I think he should persevere as Redmond looks as though he will grow into the role.

If it was JRod fans would give him time, give Redmond the slack he deserves and he will be a fans favourite/must play
