Seems an age ago we were wondering whether he would sign and lead us into a brighter world.

I liked him as a player tbh and he did very well in the Scottish league with Hearts even on the second go.

Came here with high expectations, probably too high to be honest - he was seen as our ''star'', but he never really lived up to it. Struggled to impose himself in games and flitted in and out.

 

Good player though, just not worth the amount we forked out as it rose the expectations - which probably didn't help our financial position at the time!

Always looked unfit and I remember him and Rasiak playing absolutely out of their skins for one night game in our championship relegation season. Both left the club few days later.....funny that
