I'd be a bloody good chairman... but seriously. almost anyone. Just clear out all the nasty, petty, vindictive bad air and start over. One man - or woman! - and once voice and no board room arguments and childish back-stabbing. If that one individual has a bit of cash then all the better.

SFC is a failing SME. There are thousands of SUCCESSFUL SMEs around, and probably 10 times as many good prospective chairmen. If you want me to do some headhunting for you, drop me a PM, send me the deposit and i'll sort you a long shortlist of 20 or so in about a month. Or earlier if you think its necessary.

I would have a giant portrait of me hanging either side of the big screens. I would issue all the Stewards with pistols. Any fan who dissents in any way or chants anti-me songs will be shot at half time. Instead of the flybe penalty competition there would be a fan-shooting session in the center circle. You see just how popular I would be! No one would slag me off!

One gibbet in each corner. Before the game starts the criminals would be marched out and strung up. They would remain swinging in the wind during the game as a reminder of my omnipotence. Also, after each game the worst performing player would be tied to the statue and the fans could whip him on their way home. If we lose three games in a row then one player, drawn at random, would also be shot. You just see how quickly we would get back into the Prem.

I take your word for it but in my experience of working for over forty years in the IT industry numerous CEOs MDs and Chairman are of little use as they play politics most of the time
graymalkin33 Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 Would be a nice idea to have some sort of boardroom penalty for taking a club into administration. Five years out of footbal sounds fair enough. That way if/when we do go into admin Rupert will not be able to buy us back.
