Batman Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 First up, the Manchester Derby There is bound to be loads of fawning over Liverpools new stand later today on TV
Saints foreva Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Old firm for me. The Manchester derby lost all its credibility when United fans cheered City winning the league over Liverpool when the results were read out over the PA at St. Mary's a few seasons back.
Lighthouse Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 I understand that. They hate scousers more than people in their own city, they don't want liverpool getting more titles when they're close, and no one wants to see liverpool end their decades old wait for a title. I don't like city one bit but I was delighted when they beat liverpool to the title. I understand it too, lesser of 2 evils and all that. I did have the 'pleasure' of being in the Slug and Lettuce with a bunch of Utd fans before that game. The sang quite a lot, mainly about how sh*t City were, something about Barcelona in 99 and something about Januzaj being the next big thing.
Batman Posted 10 September, 2016 Author Posted 10 September, 2016 City winning to be fair, they have been miles better than united so far
InvictaSaint Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Everything that is wrong with the modern day 'supporter' already visible and audible amongst the Utd fans.
adrian lord Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Pep is a preferable person to mourhino and as a Saint I will always detest Manu more than Citeh. So far so good
Batman Posted 10 September, 2016 Author Posted 10 September, 2016 with the players city still have to come into the side, hard to imagine they wont win the league.
Plastic Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 City look miles better. No creativity in the manu midfield.
Batman Posted 10 September, 2016 Author Posted 10 September, 2016 2-1, Ibrahimovic The keeper made a blunder, you just knew it would happen. The commentator gets all excited as Ibrahimovic scores
Plastic Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Hate ibrahimovic, but he is such a high quality player
benjii Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Hate ibrahimovic, but he is such a high quality player That volley was class but, unusually, he's also missed two good opportunities. Yet, despite him having three good chances, United are lucky to be in the match. It's a funny old game.
adrian lord Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 I wonder what Hart is thinking watching that dodgy keeper
Saint_clark Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 I wonder what Hart is thinking watching that dodgy keeper "I could have done that".
bpsaint Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 That's a red card if it happens elsewhere on the pitch. Bravo has looked absolutely shocking, perhaps shouldn't have thrown him straight into a derby.
Saint_clark Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 One of the more enjoyable games i've seen for a while, still being spoilt by the huge amount of playacting going on. Everyone is screaming and rolling around at every little contact...
Pass the Dutchie Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Great game at the moment from both sides.
Plastic Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 Agree great game, but Pogba @ 80-odd million looks like shocking business.
Batman Posted 10 September, 2016 Author Posted 10 September, 2016 city win very good game. Enjoyed that David Silva is such a great player to watch
warsash saint Posted 10 September, 2016 Posted 10 September, 2016 city win very good game. Enjoyed that David Silva is such a great player to watch Agreed, the exact opposite of that winging gobsh*te Rooney!
nta786 Posted 11 September, 2016 Posted 11 September, 2016 Chelsea losing to Swansea. Football changes in a couple of minutes
Pamplemousse Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Everton winning. Only bonus is it means we would stay 18th
SuperSAINT Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Everton winning. Only bonus is it means we would stay 18th God, all of that is so depressing isn't it?
Pamplemousse Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 It would help if the Sunderland defence decided to actually mark Lukaku
Saints foreva Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 *Sigh* We failed to beat this Sunderland side at home.
Delmary Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Not replacing Pelle will cost us dearly this season.
beatlesaint Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Everton have a good manager there.....lucky bastards
verlaine1979 Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Did RK just bring on an 18 year old for a run out with 15 mins left? Expert trolling.
DG Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Imagine having a decent manager and striker. Lucky bastards.
Saint-Fred Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Imagine having a decent manager and striker. Lucky bastards. Don't forget you can't keep an unhappy striker who wants to leave though as he just won't play for you and will cause unrest in the camp. Lol. Never mind, our current manager IS good but we have been spoiled with two high quality managers in quick succession..we just need to give him time and see how it pans out.
VectisSaint Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 *Sigh* We failed to beat this Sunderland side at home. We were lucky to even rescue a point. But its all OK according to the happy clappers.
Wade Garrett Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Everton played really well, from what I saw.
Pilchards Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Good managers drive teams to a higher level, shame we let some of our good ones leave too easily.
SuperSAINT Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Everton played really well, from what I saw. Whoever thought there was a player in Idrissa Gueye
whelk Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Sunderland are terrible. Can't believe how good we made them look. Still, it's difficult when lukaku has one of his 5 or 6 £40m striker games. Yeah football is like that. They gave City a far better contest than Utd did. Amateur hour.
The9 Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 *Sigh* We failed to beat this Sunderland side at home. Hmm, if only we'd had some kind of aerial threat.
The9 Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Good managers drive teams to a higher level, shame we let some of our good ones leave too easily. Is this my cue to point out how good Stekelenburg has been this season?
whelk Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 We were lucky to even rescue a point. But its all OK according to the happy clappers. You fckers should be embarrassing posting. Impressed with Watford were you?
Gunnery Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Not replacing Pelle will cost us dearly this season.I bet you were slagging him off big time last season..
Delmary Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 I bet you were slagging him off big time last season.. Nope and you're s prat sir
doddisalegend Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Good managers drive teams to a higher level, shame we let some of our good ones leave too easily. We offered Koeman the best contract ever offered to a saints manager and he told us to **** off he didn't have the balls to commit long term to us much easier to go to an Everton side which could be improved with minimal effort.

Not really. Martinez screwed up there, some other managers might have too. He is a good manager, so he is improving them.
CB Fry Posted 12 September, 2016 Posted 12 September, 2016 Not really. Martinez screwed up there, some other managers might have too. He is a good manager, so he is improving them. Not sure that discounts the point he was making. It's is an easier job to improve a good but underperforming Everton side than to improve an overperforming Southampton. Plus Everton paying him more to do it. Koeman doesn't even need to get them as high as he got us and he'll be a hero this season.
saint-crinny Posted 13 September, 2016 Posted 13 September, 2016 Idrissa Gueye is a lot better than I thought he was. Villa last year could make any player look not very good I guess. Would have been a cracking replacing for Wanyama - he was all action last night and looks a steal at £7m.
