Heisenberg Posted 3 September, 2016 Share Posted 3 September, 2016 * 2 England goal keepers * One if the best CBs in Europe (VVD) * Fonte wanted by Man United * 2 winners of Euro 2016 * Best array of midfield options in the Premiership * New Thierry Henry upfront * Boufal wanted by Barcelona * Millions in the bank for January top up * New exciting and dynamic management team All this and still it's doom and gloom on here

stpedro Posted 3 September, 2016 Share Posted 3 September, 2016 lots of things to be positive about but we don't have the best array of midfield options in the Premiership....Think most of our options wouldn't get into the Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd or Chelsea midfields. Having 2 England goal keepers also says a lot about the lack of English goalkeepers in the Premierleague, good as Forster and McCarthy are

yellow&blue Posted 3 September, 2016 Share Posted 3 September, 2016 Only time will tell, of course the official website would put a positive spin on it, only time will tell. Let's hope he is a success.
Pamplemousse Posted 3 September, 2016 Share Posted 3 September, 2016 If he is as good as the propaganda machine than we will have a real gem. Personally, I think it will take him a little while to get used to the speed and physicality of the Premier League but things will click and we'll have a real star on our hands. Surprised this exclusive info filtered down to Leandre in the French fifth division.
CB Fry Posted 3 September, 2016 Share Posted 3 September, 2016 There was a time when people on this forum (hello MLG) used to say the only club information source fans needed was the official website and that independent sources of club info - newspapers, other media - were simply not required. Pointless propaganda guff like this is a perfect example of why this will never be the case. Leadre bloody Griffit says so. Give me strength. Batman Posted 3 September, 2016 Share Posted 3 September, 2016 no doubt Boufel is a good player but if Leandre Griffit says so, then......

LaptopSaint Posted 4 September, 2016 Share Posted 4 September, 2016 Boufal is going to light up the Premiership. He is ridiculously good and we're insanely lucky to have him. Mark my words. This. I've seen him play in France. Qual. It. Y.
DuncanRG Posted 4 September, 2016 Share Posted 4 September, 2016 Big clubs watch plenty of players and decide they need to prove themselves elsewhere first. That's why they come here.
OldNick Posted 4 September, 2016 Share Posted 4 September, 2016 Boufal is going to light up the Premiership. He is ridiculously good and we're insanely lucky to have him. Mark my words.lets hope he can score the 22 goals we are short of due to sales. Complacency is a dangerous game to play. It is madness to rely on Bouful to hit the ground running after match winning players have been sold. Please assure me where the goals are going to come from the midfield and attack so that we are going to win plenty of games?

Saint-Fred Posted 4 September, 2016 Share Posted 4 September, 2016 Big clubs watch plenty of players and decide they need to prove themselves elsewhere first. That's why they come here. Not sure that's true..without the black box, how do they find them? Liverpool apparently had identified Mane before we bought him but decided not to go for him..I suppose it is cheaper for them (and Barce etc) to let them be proven elsewhere and pay more later to buy a first team player rather than purchasing potential players and them not making it? They could end up buying loads who don't make it as they don't get the same game time that they get with us?

OldNick Posted 5 September, 2016 Share Posted 5 September, 2016 Im going to disregard your first sentence because it assumes our defence concedes the same about of goals as it did last season and that Long won't score more, redmond won't score more than Mane, Jay as already scored one more goal than he did last season etc....do you see how ridiculous it is now? Way too many variables to make such a statement. The complacency the board has shown has probably been the best complacency i've ever seen..... It's not up to me to assure you I'm afraid. How about you focus on the present and not worry about the future Basically you are saying fingers and everything else crossed. So far our defence looks less secure than last season and the loss of our best defensive midfielder, therefore I was being generous not highlighting that we may need to score 2 goals instead of 1 to win games. Yep many variables but we can look at the past record of Shane Long (who is a great team player) and you can see he is unlikely to start being a 20+ goal a season man. If that is the best cmplacensy you have ever seen you must be on a bloody good bonus
