Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Hopefully this doesn't mean McCarthy will have to come into the first team and take over penalty taking duties...

ErwinK1961 Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Would suggest it's not great for him to withdraw from the squad completely. Hopefully back for Arsenal...
S-Clarke Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Hopefully the club let us know, they kinda like to keep bad injuries under wraps for some reason.
James Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Would suggest it's not great for him to withdraw from the squad completely. Hopefully back for Arsenal... There's only one game and so if he's out of that one then make sense for him to come back for treatment. Hopefully we get an update and that it's nothing serious. We are probably getting beat with or without him at Arsenal so hope he's back for Swansea.

nta786 Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Maybe hes doing it so he doesnt have to play in the internationals? These sort of fake injuries are common in the international week- swear it was done a lot under Sir Alex Ferguson
Dark Munster Posted 31 August, 2016 Share Posted 31 August, 2016 Maybe his arm was caught in the transfer window as it slammed shut?
david in sweden Posted 1 September, 2016 Share Posted 1 September, 2016 ....it's at times like this that I'm glad that it isn't Gazzaniga sat waiting on the bench. hopefully Fraser will be fit for the Arsenal game, but at least we have two " possible stand-ins " who know what the Prem is about. Saint-Armstrong Posted 1 September, 2016 Share Posted 1 September, 2016 Alex McCarthy called up to replace Fraser Forster, strangely enough. If anything happens to this one then we're down to Stuart Taylor.
