SaintSeb Posted 30 August, 2016 Share Posted 30 August, 2016 Early days, needs to prove himself in this league of course, but this is the most excited I've been about a signing for us.
Saint_clark Posted 30 August, 2016 Share Posted 30 August, 2016 (edited) Well that's a huge amount of pressure right off the bat. I think that article is placing too much emphasis on stats as well - I wouldn't call Mane particularly selfish. brmbrm Posted 30 August, 2016 Share Posted 30 August, 2016 One thing I like is the quality players we are bringing in who are young: hopefully young, hungry, we can bring them on, keep them as long as we can

hypochondriac Posted 30 August, 2016 Share Posted 30 August, 2016 I'm not a fan of articles that big up players before they have even played. Let him succeed on his own without all the expectation.

Heisenberg Posted 30 August, 2016 Share Posted 30 August, 2016 You cannot compare and evaluate players from different leagues like this.... Leigh Griffiths scored 32 goals last season Diego Costa 11 - Leigh Griffiths is better Hatem Ben Arfa was one of the best players in the French league last season - averaged 1 goal per 2 games. In the premiership he averaged 1 in 11 and was pretty damn ordinary. Let's just give him time to settle in and find his feet without pressure
Dangermouth Posted 30 August, 2016 Share Posted 30 August, 2016 Even with the ENORMOUS (big enough to make the point?) decline in standards of 'journalism' there is no way that this idiot who is the Arse fan calling himself "The Sippinator" could ever really be considered as anything other than an idiot a-hole behind a keyboard showing how wholly deficient of even basic sense, let alone the beginnings of the vestiges of that which could in millions of aeons turn into what might become 'intelligence', he is. I suggest the OP who is normally not a wum/poor poster looks at his 'sources' better so we are not subjected to click-bait which should never even have been the opportunity to be considered still-born. If you haven't yet read the link; don't bother: you'd be better off reading, enjoying and trusting as Gospel the posts of the regular WUMs on this site. Saint_clark Posted 1 December, 2016 Share Posted 1 December, 2016 Shame they missed him going past another one just after that at the byline, after he gets the ball back.
niceandfriendly Posted 1 December, 2016 Share Posted 1 December, 2016 Gives the ball away very, very easily and often finds himself running into players more often than he goes past them. But he is starting to show signs of promise and hopefully he will come good soon.
petts Posted 1 December, 2016 Share Posted 1 December, 2016 He's going to be some player, that's obvious from the little seen of him so far. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
Convict Colony Posted 1 December, 2016 Share Posted 1 December, 2016 All I know was that in his first few appearances for us when Mane played he was not getting the rave reviews that Boufal is getting. He's being compared to a second season Mane in that article it would be better against the first season one.
a1ex2001 Posted 1 December, 2016 Share Posted 1 December, 2016 The lad looks quality only time and the size of liverpools inevitable bid will tell us if he is better than mane! He is a saint for now though so let's enjoy him!

Interesting to hear the commentators from Tuesday's game saying Mane was 'not at his best tonight'. His co-commentator replied 'yes, just like saturday....' Sound familiar? LaptopSaint Posted 1 December, 2016 Share Posted 1 December, 2016 Boufal is absurdly talented. One he gets up to speed in the Prem, he's going to be awesome. When we sell him it will be for a lot more than Mane. Fact. (Ish). COYR
