1976_Child Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 On the OS it has just been announced that an adult ticket at Carrow Road for the upcoming fixture will cost us £13.70 but a ticket at Watford will cost £22.50. Our home tixs set you back £24. And a Brighton & Hove Albion home ticket costs an astonishing £30. £13.70 for Norwich is a bargain. Just goes to show that Delia ain't greedy. I always thought that the FA imposed a lower limt on ticket prices or is this only for cup games which can't be cheaper than £15? Either way it is very illuminating to see the massive variation between clubs. A mate dragged me to an Albion game the other day and I was utterly gobsmacked that I had to pay £30 to watch third division football. Complete rip off. How much does a ticket cost at Old Trafford?
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 The Carrow Road price is probably because it is on a Tuesday night at the end of January while the nation is in recession.
J Bizzle Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 old trafford is around £50 for **** seats can pay up to £200 for halfway line.
Saint_clark Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 F*ck off is Brighton £30! They only use temporary stands.
Chez Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 It is obscene now. I thought I'd go to a fulham match while nearby and it was 45 quid for them against Bolton I think. I almost swallowed my tongue when I read that. And there's me wishing we were back with the big boys.
1976_Child Posted 8 January, 2009 Author Posted 8 January, 2009 F*ck off is Brighton £30! They only use temporary stands. As God is my witness I paid £30 to sit on temporary stands surrounding a disused athelitcs track to watch Albion. I was monumentally gobsmacked. And there was no beer in the ground. ****ing outrageous.
Wilko Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 Conference South football is around a tenner. You can stand, hear the players shout at each other and get much closer to the action. **** the league.
The Majestic Channon Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 Wondered why norwich pretty much sell out every home game no matter what their league position
1976_Child Posted 8 January, 2009 Author Posted 8 January, 2009 Wondered why norwich pretty much sell out every home game no matter what their league position and i bet they don't pay fantasy wages to their squad either. Seems like this Delia lady has her head screwed on the right way. God, what would we give for a decent owner.
Hatch Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 Wondered why norwich pretty much sell out every home game no matter what their league position There is foook all else to do around there for about a 100 mile radius.
1976_Child Posted 8 January, 2009 Author Posted 8 January, 2009 There is foook all else to do around there for about a 100 mile radius. all the more reason why the price might be higher
Glasgow_Saint Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 £140 for a round of golf in Eygpt! Sh1t course too
1976_Child Posted 8 January, 2009 Author Posted 8 January, 2009 £140 for a round of golf in Eygpt! Sh1t course too £7.77 per hole. That is a lot. But then golf is a game for dim-wits. As some one once said: why spoil a perfectly decent walk!
1976_Child Posted 8 January, 2009 Author Posted 8 January, 2009 Conference South football is around a tenner. You can stand, hear the players shout at each other and get much closer to the action. **** the league. you might be on to something. The thing is, in 2013 when we are in the Conference South do you think Lowe will drop the price to a tenner? Doubt it. We're going to be the most expensive club in the conference.
StuRomseySaint Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 Went to watch Palace v West Brom at Selhurst last season, tickets were £40 to sit in a rickety wooden seat in the stand opposite the Away fans.
Saint_clark Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 As God is my witness I paid £30 to sit on temporary stands surrounding a disused athelitcs track to watch Albion. I was monumentally gobsmacked. And there was no beer in the ground. ****ing outrageous. Mental.
Mole Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 I payed £35 (plus debit card fee:rolleyes:) per picket when i got tickets to sit in Leeds main stand a couple of years back, but the £40 at Chelsea really took the **** especially as i was ejected from the ground mid way through the second half.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 8 January, 2009 Posted 8 January, 2009 Delia makes up the difference in pies though!
