New yellowcard rule for dissent

It seemed like a good idea to stop ref abuse , esp. by certain teams ! BUT Costa has been yellow carded for dissent in both games and then the Ref has bottled out of the second yellow in both games . Costa has then scored the winning goal in both games . Not the desired result if the Refs think dissent is a soft yellow so even it up by not issuing second yellows for bad fouls or simulation later in the match.

Good point but you are right, the refs bottle it against the big boys and always will.

Good to see they are also penalising the grabbing and holding in the box with penalties

Man U kicked the ball away on at least two occasions last night (as well as Fellaini preventing a quick free kick by standing over the ball) and no yellow cards. There's no point clamping down on one thing if you just let the rest of it slide. Took the ref a good 5 seconds to give a blatant foul throw too, which he only gave due to Saints players and Puel screaming blue murder about it.
