doddisalegend Posted 18 August, 2016 Share Posted 18 August, 2016 Starts off about Fonte but then talks about Southampton ( a few of the facts seem a little off if I'm honest)more generally. Interesting bit to me was the bit near the bottom when an unnamed agent talks about dealing with southampton during player transfers. Think you could take it a few ways so people can make up their own minds http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-fonte-11764566

Unbelievable Jeff Posted 18 August, 2016 Share Posted 18 August, 2016 Quite a decent, well balanced article actually.
ART Posted 18 August, 2016 Share Posted 18 August, 2016 Excellent and we'll informed article. When he mentions United can see their future stars, he refers to Saints future stars not United, although one could tongue in cheek, take it to mean United will take there pickings in future. captainchris Posted 18 August, 2016 Share Posted 18 August, 2016 If the agent had we are horrible to deal with in transfers that would be good to hear but we aren't. Agents must love us as we are an easy touch.
astrasri Posted 18 August, 2016 Share Posted 18 August, 2016 Not sure how we can be an 'easy touch'. We get top money for our transfers out (Mane in particular) and don't pay over the odds for incoming - let's not revive the Shane Long thing again as I think over the course of his contract he has justified his fee.
