Galatasaray in for Clasie?

Cheeky bug.gers! Jorde is a fantastic player who will shine this season provided that Puel gives him a fair hearing. He is 54 times better in all aspects than JWP so sell JWP to effing Galatasaray! Yep, I'm angry!

This whole rumour mill is becoming a sick joke, everyone is taking the pis.s simply because there is no respect in football for Reed & Rogers who no doubt are considered by them to be gullible idiots. If Reed can't manage this increasingly hostile PR then why the hell is he in post. We need our team and our players protected from all this buullshiit but the way Reed is playing it anybody can say and do anything they like about Saints unchallenged. Can you imagine Mourinho putting up with this.

Come on Reed, do your job or clear off!

****s sake, I'm one that thinks Clasie will only get better, and we should be keeping him.

Someone shut the damn window! I'll take the team as is, we can pick up the AM in January! My worry with Puel is if anyone leaves they won't be replaced. And that's my first worry of this new regime...

I have to say Charlie that you are right. We encourage hostile offers by this total silence...

We do not send out clear messages so no wonder the competition keep

Cherry picking our players. We are ambivalent in the extreme and its hurting the prospects of the team and giving a hand up to our competitors at the same time.

Liverpool in particular must be laughing their heads off at us but all the top clubs just do what they want with us and we don't say boo even...

It is not only the selling of the family silver but also the massive unsettling effect on the team that are left.

It is way past time to stop selling anyone unless they are crap.... Oh strangely no one wants the rubbish...

There is little point in asking the players to have a winning mentality if the board don't have one!

:(

The way you post about SFC shows you cannot like them at all so why bother.

Where is the encouragement for hostile offers......

So we now want he club to respond to all rumours and gossip with zero proof of it having any credibility...

Jesus, flapping much? We're hardly likely to sell him for £3m when we paid £8m even if we wanted to get rid of him, which we don't.

I can't see how Clasie is, or should be, anything more than a squad player, but given that the prices we'd get for him are relative peanuts, we may as well keep him here for the added strength in depth.

I really don't see what he's particularly good at though. Slow and short, tackling and passing isn't bad but certainly nothing to write home about. Adds nothing going forward and doesn't give us anything from set-pieces. I just can't really see what he's supposed to add to the team. He carries no obvious strengths.

Why would we want to put clubs off ?

We are a 'selling club' that is our business priority.

He was out a while with an injury when first here and struggled a little for fitness, however, he seems to have good technique and does get stuck in and has a good range of passing, so think he'd be good alongside a bigger 'enforcer' type. He played pretty well in quite a few games I saw last season, but maybe didnt particularly stand out, but seemed pretty consistent, unlike Romeu and Ward-Prowse who are both prone to the odd stinker. I reckon he's more likely to score from open play than Ward-Prowse too.

Any chance we could sell JWP along with Clasie, Forster, Bertrand, Austin and VVD before the window closes ?

Hoj has stood out more in less than half a game than clasie did at any point last season

Clasie looked very good pre-season against Feyenoord last year, fwiw. We don't really play to his strength, which is passing the ball forward through the lines quickly in tight defensive areas - it might be more useful with a proper number 10 to get the ball to though.

Very astute piece of reporting by the journalist floating this story, or maybe hadn't noticed that Southampton have a minimum of 6 extra games to play overt the next few months, or that there's only just over a week to go to the close of the window. Presumably has bought the fiction that Southampton are nothing but a selling club and will offload the tea lady if anyone wants to bid. Not so astute after all.
