Great player in his day. RIP fella He certainly was. Pushed Man U all the way in the inaugural PL season and the Atkinson/Saunders partnership was a big part of that. Was quick, strong and could certainly finish. Rumoured not to be the brightest off the pitch but a tragic event and far too young. IPCC will be scrutinising this incident very closely and the use of tasers will come into focus again. Didn't he have a trial at Saints when Souness was manager? Probably past his best at that point sadly.
