manina-pub Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 75 mins gone and only 5 ex-Saints scoring .. What might have been etc etc :-(
Batman Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 used to play for us and still in the prem Boruc Clyne Lovren Toby Shaw Vic Morgan Walcott Lallana OxO Lambert Edit throw in Mane, Cork, Chambers, Surman, Puncheon.... not a bad side there
Batman Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 Cork on the bench too, and puncheon. swap Mane and Puncheon for OxO and Walcott for players who were here since promotion
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 Which ****ing moron is going to be the first to say that we could have been league champions if we didn't keep selling everyone?
Dark Munster Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 used to play for us and still in the prem Boruc Clyne Lovren Toby Shaw Vic Morgan Walcott Lallana OxO Lambert Edit throw in Mane, Cork, Chambers, Surman, Puncheon.... not a bad side there Does Antonio count too?
Miltonaggro Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 Which ****ing moron is going to be the first to say that we could have been league champions if we didn't keep selling everyone? Les Reed.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 You? **** me, you're hilarious.
SaintRobbie Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 Made me think whether our Boardroom and owners philosophy was right watching this game. Soul destroying to see Mane smashing in such a great goal too. Gutted we can't keep our best players - we'd be unstoppable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can only presume you've murdered any woman who dumped you.
HKsaint Posted 14 August, 2016 Posted 14 August, 2016 Someone here laughing at Liverpool as idiot buying deflectors from us at the "inflated " prices.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 Some on her seem to hate the club, why do they bother to hang around like a bad smell, why not clear off and follow another team...
SO16_Saint Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 what part of "players will always leave to bigger clubs" do people not understand? Like it or not, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Man Utd ARE bigger than us It's testament to our scouting and player development that these players have gone on to bigger (and in some cases, not all) better things.
shurlock Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 Some on her seem to hate the club, why do they bother to hang around like a bad smell, why not clear off and follow another team... As usual, a brilliant response pal.
tajjuk Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 used to play for us and still in the prem Boruc Clyne Lovren Toby Shaw Vic Morgan Walcott Lallana OxO Lambert Edit throw in Mane, Cork, Chambers, Surman, Puncheon.... not a bad side there Mixed bag of 'success' in there though. Obviously too early to tell with Mane and Wanyama (and probably Shaw), but certainly Lallana, Lovren and Morgan have not hit the levels they did with us. Walcott has not become the player we thought he would when he burst onto the scene, a lack of games and injuries have held him back I think. OX is potentially going the same way if he doesn't get more game time with Arsenal. Chambers only played because Arsenal had 3 centre backs injured and made a whole two starts last year. Few grass isn't always greener stories there IMO, of course they will all be richer which is probably all they care about but there you go.
OldNick Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 this goes back years, of all the great forward lines we have had I feel the Le Tiss Rod Wallace and Shearer was the best. Le Tiss with Rod Wallace was electric. Sadly 2 of the 3 left for bigger things. Another 'if only'
Saint IQ Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 You could make an 11 of ex saints from just the two super sunday matches yesterday....... -----------Boruc------- Clyne-Lovren-Chambers-Shaw -----Surman-Morgan--------- Ox-------Lallana-----Mane --------Walcott-------------- Quite depressing seeing 5 ex players score goals in the same match really
eelpie Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 what part of "players will always leave to bigger clubs" do people not understand? Like it or not, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Man Utd ARE bigger than us It's testament to our sane scouting and player development that these players have gone on to bigger (and in some cases, not all) better things. Much better that they go for high prices, if it's not possible to afford to keep them. Mind, I think we could have got a lot more for Mane, or at least held on to him until January and benefited from quite a few more goals to set us up for the season. But that's water under the bridge now. Move on..
Jonnyboy Posted 15 August, 2016 Posted 15 August, 2016 used to play for us and still in the prem Boruc Clyne Lovren Toby Shaw Vic Morgan Walcott Lallana OxO Lambert Edit throw in Mane, Cork, Chambers, Surman, Puncheon.... not a bad side there A very large % English too.
