Master Bates Posted 20 July, 2016 Posted 20 July, 2016 Haven't been able to get on the club website for 2 days, have we sold it of to Liverpool or is it just no longer in existence?
EBS1980 Posted 20 July, 2016 Posted 20 July, 2016 I can get on fine. Hoping that one day it'll be given a make over though...
The9 Posted 20 July, 2016 Posted 20 July, 2016 Nothing wrong with it for me, on 3 different devices in 3 different locations around Hampshire...
THINWHITEDUKE Posted 20 July, 2016 Posted 20 July, 2016 Works fine apart from advertising tickets for the Sunderland game on 27th July instead of 27th August
Master Bates Posted 20 July, 2016 Author Posted 20 July, 2016 I can get everywhere except there and the Echo lol
bangkoksaint Posted 20 July, 2016 Posted 20 July, 2016 I haven't been on it in about 5 years. Awful site. This.........I'm staggered that a multi million pound business has such a shocking web site. I don't bother with it at all.
S-Clarke Posted 20 July, 2016 Posted 20 July, 2016 I'm pretty sure it's still bound by a contract, the perform group or something? It was something we signed up to when we were a football league team under the Wilde days I think, and it had something like a ridiculous 10 year contract.

Same bog standard site as most EFL clubs, it's a bit of a mess like all the others, and some of the multiple clicking and duplication is pointless.
STEVEADAMS Posted 22 July, 2016 Posted 22 July, 2016 This.........I'm staggered that a multi million pound business has such a shocking web site. I don't bother with it at all. Agreed we had a great site before and then they put that rubbish out. It is so clunky, those spinning sponsors looked like a betting shop.

We're bound by contract to Football League Interactive (FLi) who used to use Perform group but had it replatformed by SapientNitro in 2012. I know this as I ran the RFP. Sorry.
ericofarabia Posted 22 July, 2016 Posted 22 July, 2016 I can get everywhere except there and the Echo lol Maybe you have been banned for sending them Pics of Bewbs a good few years ago

Believe it may be due to expire or a release window in the contract opens in the next year or two.

Charlie Wayman Posted 22 July, 2016 Posted 22 July, 2016 There is some really excellent stuff on the OS but it is awful to navigate. The best bit by far for me is the You Tube space where new videos are posted more or less on a daily basis, those that can't be Rrsed to use the OS are missing out big time, how can anybody claim to be a supporter and not follow the OS everyday to keep in touch? Shane Long's interview today is unmissable if you really worry about the new season. Let's be honest most of what is written on here is speculative nonsense and if a certain type of person prefers to indulge in that without balancing it with a few facts from the OS than more fool them.

whelk Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 Pile of ****e. Do they actually want people to buy tickets? Stuck in dark ages re user experience. Surprised not using TImes New Roman
Ohio Saint Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 In a similar vein. Am I the only who liked Saints Radio all those years ago? I kinda miss that!
Pamplemousse Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 Most of the news comes from their social media accounts anyway. I don't use the website at all.
Saint Garrett Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 You can subscribe to the Twitter account where they announce all news, so it sends you a notification when they tweet, handy for me. Normally turn it off during the games though, can get irritating otherwise

buctootim Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 Never understood why the pictures on the galleries are so small with no way (that I can see) of enlarging them. Almost every other website from shopping to estate agents allows you to zoom up to almost full screen size.
explorer saint Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 I tried to check out u21 fixtures and results ..gave up ****e site

jamesfp1 Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 You have to put the www. for the official site or it won't work.
stockportsaint Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 You have to put the www. for the official site or it won't work. Which just illustrates how amateurish the whole thing is - they have only registered a DNS record with the www, and not one without. Many of the features on the OS would qualify for winning entries on the fabulous http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/
Slugger Posted 24 July, 2016 Posted 24 July, 2016 Minor point but they used to wrote longer articles with numerous quotes. Now to get more clicks they have shortened each article to being barely more than a couple of sentences of quotes, dragging a 3 min You Tube video into 2 or 3 separate articles over a few days. Its all taken from the You Tube so between that and Twitter there is no need to go there as the content is all there now. However, at least they use paragraphs, unlike Swansea's amateurs.
whelk Posted 25 July, 2016 Posted 25 July, 2016 I only go there to buy tickets not on my season ticket. They need to research their market as to why am I there and get me there quickly not send me in endless loops. Basic design
twopintsnilnil Posted 25 July, 2016 Posted 25 July, 2016 Which just illustrates how amateurish the whole thing is - they have only registered a DNS record with the www, and not one without. Many of the features on the OS would qualify for winning entries on the fabulous http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/ saintsfc.co.uk works fine for me. I'm sure someone with a better working knowledge can correct me, but I don't think www is ever part of the domain name, rather just a convention that tells the server that the client is expecting some web content, but it could be anything. It's been a while since I was involved in such things.
RedWillie Posted 25 July, 2016 Posted 25 July, 2016 Official site I find very clunky and difficult to navigate around. It's almost like its got too much stuff on it.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 26 July, 2016 Posted 26 July, 2016 Gave it up years ago when navigation became hard, load times excessive and mobile access next to impossible. Get all my news on here and the Aussie Saints Facebook page.
