S-Clarke Posted 12 July, 2016 Share Posted 12 July, 2016 He had a choice - Pundit work, or coaching. He chose punditry. So he won't be a coach anywhere else.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 12 July, 2016 Share Posted 12 July, 2016 What an interesting thought... As we have seen from the Puel thread, he and Henry seem to have a great relationship. What a positive impact the presence of Henry could have on the whole squad. If this was a viable option, the only question would be his Sky commitments. I think you can do both, it's up to him if he wants to be over-worked. Southampton - London isn't hideously far to travel ...
Saint_Ash Posted 12 July, 2016 Share Posted 12 July, 2016 I would get him in in some capacity. Would be a great attribute on the training pitch and to the youngsters, let him do his punditry as well, so what.

I agree.. Even if it were just on a part time basis to coach our Forwards/Strikers at all levels. Who better than one of the greatest ever players to grace the Premier League. nta786 Posted 12 July, 2016 Share Posted 12 July, 2016 I think Wenger didn't want him to do punditry because last year he said 'Arsenal won't win the Premier League with Giroud' Imagine if Henry covers one of our games and starts criticising us- wouldn't like it so much. Then again- we are hardly on TV. Yeah screw it sign him up, he could teach us a few things about finishing and movement.

Ludwig Posted 12 July, 2016 Share Posted 12 July, 2016 I think we could offer him a position. I hope he looks at the official website http://mobile.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/20160712-vacancy-casual-academy-coach-south-east-3182132.aspx

Charlie Wayman Posted 12 July, 2016 Share Posted 12 July, 2016 He had a choice - Pundit work, or coaching. He chose punditry. So he won't be a coach anywhere else. That's not true 'though is it? This choice was forced upon him by Wenger only. Saints could let him do both roles but come on lads, it ain't going to happen the guy's a Londoner and a superstar and probably only ever found his way to Southampton because he was on a coach to SMS. I think Saints would welcome the profile it would add to the club however his natural place would probably been that occupied by Black. Its very unlikely but a nice thought none the less!
