how did davis sign a new deal the other day?

must have popped back to southampton

Take your pick.

Somebody could have taken the contract out to him.

They could have scanned it in and emailed to him, he printed it off, signed it and scanned it back in.

They could even have used a fax.

We're not living in the 16th century.

Unlike Everton who had to wait for RK to return from his holiday......

Received this through the forum:

"I give you a sure information, the next coach of the psaints at this time coaching a national team at the European Championships in France and is expected to be eliminated to announce his arrival at St. Mary's."

So coaching not managing....it's Neville with Giggs as assistant..explains the itk taxi driver ;)

Getting a player who's already settled at a club to sign an extension upping his wage is one thing, getting a manager with no connection to the club to sign a contract in the middle of a tournament that is the focus of two years of his working life, is quite another.

Obviously Laurent Blanc

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/20/laurent-blanc-paris-saint-germain-psg-leaves-agent

Not only that but

Reports on Monday suggested that Blanc, 50, has agreed a €20m compensation package to leave PSG. Yahoo Sport said that the former France manager has negotiated his golden handshake by phone after returning to Paris from Italy this week.

Obviously knows we can't afford his salary so he kindly negotiates a huge pay off so he won't be out of pocket at St Marys

....or is it me dreaming again.....

I will eat my hat if it's Laurent Blanc.....

Or give a fiver to charity. It won't happen.

I've got some ITK confirmation on our next manager...

...all I can tell you is he's male, over the age of 15, has managed a team before and will be appointed this year at some point. He can speak at least one language, and wears clothes to fall in line with human etiquette. He went to school as a child, breathes air, and is not a virgin.

You can all buy me a beer when I've been proven right.

Curious to know how you can be sure of this one though.

Echo article also says that the board have not spoken to all candidates. Starting to look like they may not have appointed anyone by the 28th as they had been hoping to.

I think they identified Garcia as the one they wanted but will not sacked Lee and the goal keeping coach.

The 3 P's are on the shortlist but they would prefer other options IMHO.

Reed is starting to feel the pressure now.

^ I think that is a fair comment. He is unlikely to be leaving for something else, we could be his last job before he retires so long as he retains the desire to do well I don't see the issue.

Also the fact he seems to want to get another job in the prem to me suggests he feels he has unfinished business here and wants to prove a few doubters wrong.
