Lastman73 Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Ryan Giggs was taxied to the grand devere hotel yesterday for an interview for the saints manager job. A mate was the taxi driver ! Evidently 3 more are being considered but we know not who !! Hope it's not Ryan !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Joesaint Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 I am learning to have faith in our club, whoever they choose will get my full support.
S-Clarke Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 He wouldn't stay at the De Vere, it would be the place in the Forest (limewood) if we're putting someone up. But he's not even under thought. I'd assume the club want to appoint a manager, not someone who aspires to be one.
scotty Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 I am learning to have faith in our club, whoever they choose will get my full support. This. Unless it's roy keane.

SonicBoom Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 I'm pretty sure anyone being interviewed would not be marched right through the reception of the Grand Harbour where news would leak out in seconds.
JackanorySFC Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 The De Vere is now a bang average 4* Hotel. No chance we'd put them up there. Limewood 100x nicer (with better meeting rooms/ suites), a *lot* more discreet and closer to Staplewood where everyone works from during the week.
Hatch Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 The club would use a private driver not a cabbie, with strict confidentiality agreement.

Obviously you don't remember when it was called the Parkhill, a rock bottom 3-Star threadbare dump? What's in a name (change) and a bit of slick PR, aye?
Charlie Wayman Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 The club would use a private driver not a cabbie, with strict confidentiality agreement. ... this and probably meet miles away in Winchester, well out of reach of prying eyes and cameras. Remember the infamous unveiling of Kevin Keegan at The Potter's Heron.

darren2 Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 With the "Black Box" looking into things like home life and someone's character, does anyone REALLY think Giggs has a shot???
Patrick Bateman Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 With the "Black Box" looking into things like home life and someone's character, does anyone REALLY think Giggs has a shot??? Not playing on the left, no, I think the black box would rule his age out somewhat.
sadoldgit Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 I am not a betting man, but if I was I would bet a bundle against Giggs being our next manager. I would also bet against Deschamps too.
SO16_Saint Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Did the De Vere also have one of those stands at reception saying "SFC Interviews - Conference Room 2"
Lets B Avenue Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 The club would use a private driver not a cabbie, with strict confidentiality agreement. and who posts on here.
Toadhall Saint Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 The club would use a private driver not a cabbie, with strict confidentiality agreement. This. Can you imagine being invited for a multi million pound job interview and then having to get your own taxi? PMSL at the thought of it.
Whitey Grandad Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 He's probably staying there before going off on a cruise today.
Give it to Ron Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Or he has heard we are after Totti and he wants to join in
Pedro Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 From memory I think Les Reed said they met Koeman met in London. A cabbie picked me up once and said he told a director (passenger) what wages they could and couldn't pay regards the financial restrictions, advising them on the FFP. Wonder, if he was so clever, why he was a taxi driver.
SaintTex Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 This is political. Say there are three classes of Managers: Class A, Class B, and Class C. The club and supporters aspire for Class A, but the club cant get the deal done for a number of reasons. Ultimately, they know they can get a Class B manager that is competent but not all that inspiring, so they bring in a few Class C managers "to interview", so fans can get all up and arms about that possibility. Ultimately, when the Class B manager is announced and not any of the Class C managers floated about everyone will feel pretty good about the appointment, completely forgetting about the disappointment of not getting a Class A manager. Giggs is one of those Class C types. I will let you all decided who are the Class A and Class B types in our manager search. OR maybe I am completely wrong.
Mr Biscuits Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Yep definitely true. Southampton, a club run on firm principles and sound decision making, playing in Europe next season is definitely goin to shortlist an inexperienced manager who's never run his own team and has a sum total of about 4 PL matches under his belt. Do f*ck off deary.

david in sweden Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Historically, there have been dozens of top rate, international players who've been absolute **** when trying to manage a team on their own.
hasper57saint Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Giggs Manager? Has he Managed anyone yet? Les Reed et al must have considered this eh?
Special K Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Not playing on the left, no, I think the black box would rule his age out somewhat. From what the gutter press report, he loves the black box and any other colour box for that matter.
St.Patrik Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Giggs will be appointed new Manager for Nottham Forest according to Swedish media.....
HKsaint Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Giggs? will be interesting to see how he could hide his happiness and disappointment when ManU scored against us and vice versa. Or he simply forgot he was whose manager. haha
eelpie Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Thanks for all the love and positive responses !!! None of this is bull****, he was dropped off by a friend of mine whom is no liar !! So anyone being dropped off to a class c hotel is a class 3 candidate just making up the numbers

david in sweden Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 So anyone being dropped off to a class c hotel is a class 3 candidate just making up the numbers ........and those who are even lower down on the list will be housed in a B&B in Derby Road.........
Fan The Flames Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 Giggs? will be interesting to see how he could hide his happiness and disappointment when ManU scored against us and vice versa. Or he simply forgot he was whose manager. haha Should be easy, the ****s default face is miserable.

Lighthouse Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 I won't believe this until it is confirmed by an estate agent in Chandler's Ford.
cellone Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 He's looking at rentals in Warsash. To be presented at Fratton Friday morning.
Patrick Bateman Posted 21 June, 2016 Posted 21 June, 2016 From what the gutter press report, he loves the black box and any other colour box for that matter. Boom!
