FloridaMarlin Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 So if Kowman came back and said: "Give us £10m and Pelle and you can have Lukaku" who would you have on tonight's evidence?
Batman Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 Lukaku is miles better. Jeez
Saint Charlie Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 Silly thread IMO. Lukaku anyday of the week. Just the same as if it were Benteke instead of Lukaku. But that doesn't mean we should sell Pelle or that he isnt an excellent player.
nta786 Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 Lukaku all day long. Age, potential, resale value. And tonight should not purely be a factor too
Chris27687 Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 If Lukaku plays like that in the next couple of games they will be lucky to get £6.5m, let alone £65m. The Belgium manager must be so ****ing bad to fail to get that group of players to do anything creative. All they had was trying to take speculative shots from 30 yards. the saint in winchester Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 Lukaku plus £10M for Pelle, more like.

Except that neither Lukaku nor Benteke have a football brain..whereas Pelle does and contributes far more to a team ethic.

Shance Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 Lukaku is in a different league to Pelle. He'd fit well in our side as well but Everton want big money for him and he want's a big team.
ashnats Posted 13 June, 2016 Share Posted 13 June, 2016 Pelle, all day long. The guy has got style. Lukaku, or benteke are just bruisers, they'll run past a player and score standard goals, with power. Benteke scored a cracking overhead once, but is mostly all about strength and power. Pelle has scored some beautiful goals, some great assists, and those flicks come off one in 5, but when they do it's pure jizz. Pelle is the easy choice for any football aficionado. You need special players like him to make your team unique.

Good luck to Lukaku at a big team with his first touch. He's never going to make it in the top., he has the strength and pace but otherwise he lacks everything. Saint Charlie Posted 14 June, 2016 Share Posted 14 June, 2016 Not on tonight's performance he isn't. Tonight Giaccherini played better than Hazard but nobody would buy him over EH. Football exists beyond just one game and Lukaku is better than and worth far more than Pelle overall.
Redslo Posted 14 June, 2016 Share Posted 14 June, 2016 Why do fans care about resale value? Because it increases the chances that Southampton will be able to continue fielding a high quality team. But you are probably right. What are the chances that a club like Southampton would ever have financial difficulties?
