scotty Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Well, I've got my four yellows, who's going to get sent off in extra time?
the_emu Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Will be interesting to see how Pelle gets on if it goes to Penalties
S-Clarke Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 It's been an interesting game to be honest, very tight, very tactical.
simo Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Hear them mention both Pelle and Fonte were late bloomers in the international scene and there must be something in the south coast air!?
BotleySaint Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Don't like how many players are getting suspended for huge games. Rubbish for them and rubbish for the tournament. Surely 2 bookings shouldn't mean suspension? Agreed. Stupid rule. Way too harsh. Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
Lighthouse Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Don't like how many players are getting suspended for huge games. Rubbish for them and rubbish for the tournament. Surely 2 bookings shouldn't mean suspension? I was thinking that. When half the team is a booking away from missing a semi-final, it's a bit daft really. It's a tournament, passions run high. Bans should be reserved for a straight red or something daft like 4/5 bookings IMO.
Batman Posted 2 July, 2016 Author Posted 2 July, 2016 Don't like how many players are getting suspended for huge games. Rubbish for them and rubbish for the tournament. Surely 2 bookings shouldn't mean suspension? Agree. Bit of a rubbish tournament all round to be fair. Next one is Europe-wide. FFS
The9 Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Don't like how many players are getting suspended for huge games. Rubbish for them and rubbish for the tournament. Surely 2 bookings shouldn't mean suspension? Yeah, they've missed a trick not resetting the yellows after the group, so you'd have to get booked in both knockout games to miss the semi. 2 yellows in 5 matches is nothing.
The9 Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Agree. Bit of a rubbish tournament all round to be fair. Next one is Europe-wide. FFS Semis and Final at Wembley though... because, you know, why not give the final rounds to a nation that can't actually host an entire tournament? :/
Professor Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 What are you on about? Sorry I didn't make the point clear enough for you to understand, but you'd have had to be watching the penalty kick to see what I meant. What I am questioning is whether referees should be taking a stronger line with contraventions against the rules of the game to try to reduce the amount of unfair play.
washsaint Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Jeez...no wonder Pelle does not take penalties for us!
scotty Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Will be interesting to see how Pelle gets on if it goes to Penalties That went well.
doddisalegend Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Pelle OMG.... maybe JWP can give him some lessons
Batman Posted 2 July, 2016 Author Posted 2 July, 2016 Not hitting the target from that range with a free kick is criminal
Sour Mash Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Knew Pelle would miss one, but that was even worse than expected.
washsaint Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 This penalty shoot out sums up this game (and the Euros in general) - awful!
doddisalegend Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Knew Pelle would miss one, but that was even worse than expected. He is in good company mind.... so many big names taking bad penos.
Batman Posted 2 July, 2016 Author Posted 2 July, 2016 Love it if the Germans lose this. They win shootouts all the time
angelman Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 miss you germermans. damn it just lose. 40 years since they have lost one.
Pilchards Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Fancy Pelle telling the keeper he was going to dink it before dragging it wide. The worse penalty of the lot. We should sell him just for that.
bazza Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 No surprise that the Germans win another shootout. Pelle needs a boot up his hole for his shocking effort.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Oh look the Germans win on pens again despite missing 3
S-Clarke Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Rubbish penalties! But a special mention to Zaza, WTF was that all about?
Saint IQ Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 In an alternate world where Conte was manager of England for the last two years England would of just beat Germany 3-1 3-0 or 2-0. Definite. 100 %
Batman Posted 2 July, 2016 Author Posted 2 July, 2016 Rubbish penalties! But a special mention to Zaza, WTF was that all about? Zaza and pelle offer ridiculous penalties
tajjuk Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Pelle's was poor but to be fair he'd played 120 minutes. The other guy, Zaza, he'd been on for like 30 seconds and produced that weird run up.
mrfahaji Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 It was like after Zaza's penalty someone said to Graziano, "no one will ever take a worse penalty than that" and he thought "well I'll give it a good go!"
Batman Posted 2 July, 2016 Author Posted 2 July, 2016 Who to root for now? I want to say Wales but there would be almost no chance they would root for us. Portugal it is
Saint IQ Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Who to root for now? I want to say Wales but there would be almost no chance they would root for us. Portugal it is Whoever wins between Portugal and Wales, obviously.
nta786 Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 And that showed why Tadic and JWP is ahead of Pelle. Heck, even Bertrand is ahead probably ffs lol.
The9 Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 This penalty shoot out sums up this game (and the Euros in general) - awful! These Euros have been awesome.
The9 Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Have the Krauts ever lost one? Yes, they lost the first ever one in the 1976 Euro Final, and haven't lost one since.
Dark Munster Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Yes, they lost the first ever one in the 1976 Euro Final, and haven't lost one since. Indeed. Unlike us, they actually learn from their mistakes. Having said that, they were lucky today that Italy were even worse than them at taking the pks.
supersonic Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 So our useless striker goes and ****s it up for Italy. The only thing I'm surprised at is that he didn't spend the next 10 minutes moaning at other people. The sooner he leaves, the better. Not being able to hit the target is criminal.

Lol are you serious. You can't be.

Have you watched him play every match for Italy? He's been brilliant, in fact in the last match everyone was creaming themselves about him. He took a bloody awful penalty today, horrendously awful, but so did at least 5 others. He's had a great tournament.
supersonic Posted 2 July, 2016 Posted 2 July, 2016 Lol are you serious. You can't be. which bit sounded like a joke?
