alpine_saint Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Getting rid of Pele, eepecially after letting Mane go Boy oh boy, cant wait to see the replacements lined up...
The Cat Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 I cheered his goal probably more than I will if England score later. Couldn't blame him for going home after this tournament, they will be lining up to sign him over there. Buffon, what a player. I absolutely love the bloke. He has to be one of the best keepers of all time.

Window Cleaner Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Amazed how ineffective Spain are. Missing a striker and winger really, Italy deserved it despite far less individual quality. Pelle very good, and plenty of good movement all game. Think they'll give Germany a good game too. Spain have this problem because all of the top front men in their domestic game are non-Spanish, Griezmann, Ronaldo,Messi, Neymar, Suarez not one of them qualified for Spain. Torres was the last decent front man that they had really and he's way over the hill by now. Costa was not too bad, a poisonous striker capable of getting goals and opponents sent off. He's not really a Spaniard though and I don't think the others liked him much. All that said Giaccherini looks a far better player with the National side than he ever did with Sunderland. Pelle had a great game. Was that his first yellow or is he out for a game now ?

Saint Without a Halo Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pelle proves again what a top class player he is especially for a side playing on the break great hold up play knock ons and defending from the front When paired with a smaller pacy striker he is immense

Window Cleaner Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 First yellow, and a ridiculous one at that I noticed that, Spanish player, exactly the same foul if not slightly more contact a bit later and he got nothing.
Dark Munster Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 From Stan #ENG Hart/Walker Smalling Cahill Rose/Rooney Dier Alli/Sturridge Kane Sterling WTF?
Window Cleaner Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 WTF? Iceland are a rustic side, Sterling will be more effective against their back line than Lallana. Also if he gets kicked up in the air a bit, which may well happen, we've not lost Lallana against the French. Going to win by a cricket score anyway.
iansums Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Am I alone in hoping England lose in the hope that it will signal the end of Hodgson? I would like to think you are but sadly some others will think the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
iansums Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Why is it the media know the line-up on the morning of the game and not one hour before? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
vectraman Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Just extending Pelle's contract would be far better for Saints than selling him and buying in some unknown unproven player, wouldn't it? No risks involved to keep a 15 goal a season striker, no brainer to me! I don't care if his performances are increasing his value, there is no point in selling him, he gives us options up front. He may have is crap games, even crap months, but when he is good he is very good. Put him up front with long and play two up front. Works for Italy......!
Batman Posted 27 June, 2016 Author Posted 27 June, 2016 Imagine if England had someone like Conte as manager. What a contrast with Roy. he seems the real deal IMO. a bit mental also
angelman Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 he seems the real deal IMO. a bit mental also No, just Italian.
angelman Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 So nice to see that the England fans didn't boo the national anthem of the opposing country.
shurlock Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Rooney doing what he does best-scoring against minnows. 1-1
adrian lord Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 So nice to see that the England fans didn't boo the national anthem of the opposing country. To be fair we've not done that for some years. It was always cringeworthy.
Jonnyboy Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Walker and Rose have both been caught napping leading to goals in this tournament.
Saint Billy Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 That is funny Must admit I laughed my head off, typical bloody England.
SNSUN Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Typical England. Score early like all the media said we should, and then let Iceland equalise with a long throw the media said we should look out for. ****s sake. Early days but still. Typical England. A goal from open play would be nice...
Jonnyboy Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 To be fair we've not done that for some years. It was always cringeworthy. Um, v Russia?
Shroppie Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Moronic commentary. We conceded because Iceland are playing such outdated tactics. Our players have never seen a long throw. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Saint Without a Halo Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 So Italy hold the Spanish for 90 minutes Woys England can't hold Iceland for more than 5 mins especially poignant that England new Iceland use long throws and apparently have spent the last few days practicing how to defend them
angelman Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 **** defending by Walker and **** goal keeping be Hart who could have come out and cleared it. And Rose is **** as well. So is Sterling.
whelk Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 From Delap: Had a text saying I'm trending!! What's happened now? Another bicycle kick??
Saint Without a Halo Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Well good old England soooo dependable
BotleySaint Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Every attack they score. Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
Saint Without a Halo Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 I know we voted to get out of Europe but this is ridiculous why the firing hell is foster not playing Hart is gash
doddisalegend Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 I laughed I really struggle to get behind England these days...
angelman Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 I imagine that the French are looking on and are quaking in their boots.
