Saint Without a Halo Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Hodgson will have a cigar on the length of a snooker cue if France co ck this up. He has to deal with Iceland first though
Saint Without a Halo Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Long showing his full value by hassling consistently holding up play and generally being a real nuisance to the Defence as well as dropping into midfield to defend as necessary
Wade Garrett Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Ireland run a lot, but are poor on the ball. Very average side.
SuperSAINT Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Awesome to see Morgan come over to pick-up Shane Long up at full-time.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Germany proving just what a poor Group England were in
Lighthouse Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Roy's interview, "we want to stay in the tournament." Not win it or get to the final, just "stay in it." Says it all really.
Batman Posted 26 June, 2016 Author Posted 26 June, 2016 is it me or when the pundits go on about a club living the dream and stealing the hearts of other nations etc....when they have only won 1 game in the competition is a tad OTT?
ScepticalStan Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 is it me or when the pundits go on about a club living the dream and stealing the hearts of other nations etc....when they have only won 1 game in the competition is a tad OTT? Massively. Its absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing. The tournament format has been a complete and utter balls up. If a nation manages to cause an upset and qualify for a 16-team tournament only to find themselves way out of their depth and get comprehensively dicked by anyone half-decent then at least let them exit the tournament gracefully along with the rest of the 50% of the teams that enter the tourney and don't manage to make it out of the group stage. Don't pat them on the head as adorable little triers.
angelman Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 The World Cup is going to go this way as well. ****, who knows, if it goes on any more, you might get leagues of nations with promotion and relegation!!!
whelk Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Are they singing 'Don't take me home' at Hungary V Belgium?
doddisalegend Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Lukaku. £65m? **** off. According to his agent only the elite few of football clubs can afford Lukaku now.....if any of them would actually want him is another matter.
angelman Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Poor from Hungary for the 3rd goal. You don';t let Hazard cut in from the left and take a shot on his right foot. Everyone should know that by now.
Dark Munster Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Poor from Hungary for the 3rd goal. You don';t let Hazard cut in from the left and take a shot on his right foot. Everyone should know that by now. Easier said than done. It was a classy goal.
eelpie Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Portugal v Croatia was a pretty dire game but I thought Jose and Cedric where good overall against a decent side in Croatia. Still think we can get more out of Cedric than we did last season. Jose and Cedric did their job well. Well done fellers. Very proud.
John Boy Saint Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 That was entertaining, well done Hungary for making it a good game...... 4-0 was a tad harsh I thought.
Colinjb Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 That was entertaining, well done Hungary for making it a good game...... 4-0 was a tad harsh I thought. Really harsh. Will an underdog (not Wales....) step up here please?
Batman Posted 26 June, 2016 Author Posted 26 June, 2016 Really harsh. Will an underdog (not Wales....) step up here please? nicely lined up for Iceland to be that team
Saint_Ash Posted 26 June, 2016 Posted 26 June, 2016 Belgium have some quality players. Hazard stepped up tonight. Funnt how they destroyed Hungary after Lukaku went off. Can see a Belgium Germany final and it will be some final.
Pass the Dutchie Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pellè starting again tonight. Will be an interesting game hopefully!
striker Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pellè starting again tonight. Will be an interesting game hopefully! Rooting for Italy, I hope Pelle gets a few good chances.
beatlesaint Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 After seeing the way he has started this game anyone who thinks we should get rid is fkin mental
Pancake Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 After seeing the way he has started this game anyone who thinks we should get rid is fkin mental Quality player and the one I hope we don't lose this summer.
SuperSAINT Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Excellent start from Italy and Pelle. Shop Window!! (I'd love to keep him, but if we haven't offered him a deal, I'm fairly sure we aren't going to let him leave for free next summer).
LeBizzier69 Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 I'm certainly looking forward to the ITV programme on later on - "An Audience with Clive and Glenn". I've started grinding my teeth at the thought of it already.
whelk Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 I'm certainly looking forward to the ITV programme on later on - "An Audience with Clive and Glenn". I've started grinding my teeth at the thought of it already. Make it more fun by predicting how many grammatical errors Hoddle makes...'them sort of players'
whelk Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 From Stan #ENG Hart/Walker Smalling Cahill Rose/Rooney Dier Alli/Sturridge Kane Sterling
Saint IQ Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pelle has been brilliant and that volley from Iniesta was unlucky, great game of football!
hutch Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Am I alone in hoping England lose in the hope that it will signal the end of Hodgson?
Give it to Ron Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Batmans favourite does it again another million on transfer fee Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Didcot Saint Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 DO NOT SELL PELLE. We need good players, and he is one. Jay Rod and Austin are always injured.
SNSUN Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pelle has been immense today. Must at least tryyyyyyyyy and keep him. Though isn't it weird that as soon as the goal went in, I thought about Pelle in monetary worth to us...
Saint_clark Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 What has Sterling done to justify being in ahead of Vardy ffs.
SaintSteve Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pelle has just given a master class in Centre forward play..
yellow&blue Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Pelle's goal at least makes me feel grateful to Ronald Koeman for bringing him over to us.....
Didcot Saint Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Give the bloke a new contract Reed ffs. He deserves it and Saints need him.
Window Cleaner Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 So the Spanish showing once again that without the armada of imported front men common to their club football, their style of play is worth precisely squat. Should have taken Torres instead of Aduriz, at least he's a thorn for defences, always in there putting himself about.
Window Cleaner Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Give the bloke a new contract Reed ffs. He deserves it and Saints need him. I expect we've tried but not for anywhere near the amount that he now thinks he's worth.
LeBizzier69 Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Difficult to see why they wouldn't want to keep him. But it seems they don't, and can't understand why especially if he wants and is happy to stay here.
Chalkboy Posted 27 June, 2016 Posted 27 June, 2016 Imagine if England had someone like Conte as manager. What a contrast with Roy.
