Quite happy if we were excluded. The tools running around thinking that they are clever, really aren't. Without wanting to condone their behaviour in any way, I can't help but think that the police are acting badly. Being proactive in an overly confrontational manner. Maybe if they talked to them rather than gassed/charged them, things might work better. Still, if you throw a bottle or anything else at the police, then you deserve all you get.

It might be interesting to see tonight - Germany/Poland might kick off.

Must be my old age but something that I find quite astonishing is the report that the Russian thugs are

doing a Nazi arm in the air salute.Frankly I am a bit surprised that Putins lot let that happen when you

remember how many Russians were killed by the Germans in WW2. Coupled with the fact that Russians do

tend to hold a grudge and have very long memories. About 3 years ago I had some Russian tourists on board

my coach and they were a bit arrogant and noisy until I mentioned the fact that my father was on RN ships

escorting convoys to Murmansk during The Great Patriotic War. That made them a lot quieter as they remembered

what their parents and grand parents had told them about WW2.

So if UEFA stick to their guns England and Russia are kicked out now right?

Hope so. Last night seems to have had little Russian input and is just the result of morons drinking too much. Sometimes I really am embarrassed to call myself English.

Except that at least 12 of the arrested were Russians. Apart from that, I agree with you. P*ssed up chavs acting all tough - deeply embarrassing.

Apologies, I hadn't read anything about the Russian arrests. I honestly think that anyone identified via videos/photos should be banned from attending sporting events for the next 5 years and in the more serious cases have their passport revoked. When travelling abroad you are representing your country and I for one don't want to be associated with this lot.

It's got to a stage where an overly vociferous minority are seen as being representative of the country. I still have pride in what is left of the country, and really do not want these chavs being seen as our representatives. The Scots and Irish always seem to be jovial, drink as much as anyone else, but don't feel the need to fight at every opportunity. Sad reflection on certain parts of our society.

I remember one of those Ross Kemp documentaries, when he went behind the scenes of Polish hooligans. You would think they would all hate the Nazis after what happened in the past but many of the Ultras were die hard supporters. Some were insisting the Nazis weren't there long enough and didn't kill enough Jews. Lovely people.

If we lose, then the benefit is that (hopefully) we can get rid of this dinosaur of a manager.

That's how I'm thinking. But if we win I would also like us to get rid of this dinosaur of a manager. Really don't want another 2 years of him. Sorry Roy, nothing personal.

This is surely his last tournament.

got to be

even after playing well for majority of the game the other day, Milner still managed to get on. He just reverts to type

a win today, would be most welcome

proper derby feel to this one

Good goal Bale. This could be Hodgson seeing his job slip through his fingers. Needs big changes second half.

Rose really is gash compared to Bertrand.

Sterling should've scored early on, Vardy, Rashford, Sturridge, sod it even I could've scored that. Why he persists with Sterling I'll never know. It's almost like Hodgson hopes he'll play himself into form. Kane needs to do more too. Rooney keeps trying to shoot from distance... Badly.

Lallana has been our best player, and we're marginally the better side. Wales defending well though. No surprise Bale scoring.

Weren't we linked with Robson-Kanu recently? Could do a job on a free as a squad filler. He's a pest.

The only positive is Hodgson would go...we've already wasted another 2 years with a tactically naive and negativel thinking manager

This, should have been sacked after the World Cup, no other international manager would have kept their job after that ****. Our qualifying group was a gimme - these performances and team selections were inevitable.
