SW5 SAINT Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 BBC Breaking News @BBCBreaking Russia's football team issued "suspended disqualification" and 150,000 euro fine over crowd disturbances #Euro2016 http://bbc.in/1Ux6oYy They should take hosting the 2018 WC off them. Awarded in dodgy circumstances anyway!

iansums Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 getting a bit nawty in Lille And still some of our fans have to throw chairs and bottles, feckin idiots.

whelk Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 And still some of our fans have to throw chairs and bottles, feckin idiots. Get a grip you big ponce. Russian Cnts
Saint Charlie Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Where? https://www.clubcall.com/southampton/bundesliga-ace-watched-by-saints-chief-scout-again-1812278.html http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/652945/artikel_wirbel-um-die-junuzovic-zukunft.html?ddt=1 There were also some Scouting tweets I read about us eatching another game of his but can't find them now.
LGTL Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 And still some of our fans have to throw chairs and bottles, feckin idiots. If faced with that choice or having a metal bar whacked across your head, it's an easy choice to make.

iansums Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Get a grip you big ponce. Russian Cnts Ok, so it's fine then to throw objects, then it all escalates and we get kicked out of the competition. There is no need for them to throw anything, you can see the staff trying their best to keep the Russians away.
Saint Charlie Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Thanks No worries. As I said, looked a good technical player, physically not really quick but covered a lot of ground and looked strong enough to physically cope in England. Played in the 10 role. Clever passer.
iansums Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 If faced with that choice or having a metal bar whacked across your head, it's an easy choice to make. Nonsense, the Russians are about 20 yards away. Would have to be a bloody long metal bar.

As I said, looked a good technical player, physically not really quick but covered a lot of ground and looked strong enough to physically cope in England. Played in the 10 role. Clever passer. Yep looked good - you don't need to be quick physically just mentally.
Toadhall Saint Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Nonsense, the Russians are about 20 yards away. Would have to be a bloody long metal bar. How do you know what had gone on before the 30sec vid? You don't and neither do I do best not make judgements on stuff you know fook all about.
iansums Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 How do you know what had gone on before the 30sec vid? You don't and neither do I do best not make judgements on stuff you know fook all about. It's a forum mate, I'll make whatever judgements I like, but feel free to disagree of course.
Toadhall Saint Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 It's a forum mate, I'll make whatever judgements I like, but feel free to disagree of course. Good oh you just blather away then. At least next time I read one of your judgemental posts I'll know it's baseless
LGTL Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Nonsense, the Russians are about 20 yards away. Would have to be a bloody long metal bar. Don't be so naive mate. I saw it first hand. They didnt think twice about attacking anybody, woman included. It's a fact that some English over the weekend had no choice but to try and attack back, not all, but some. They'd have been killed otherwise.
ChrisPY Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Ok, so it's fine then to throw objects, then it all escalates and we get kicked out of the competition. There is no need for them to throw anything, you can see the staff trying their best to keep the Russians away. UEFA have never punished a nation for trouble that's happened outside a stadium. They'll leave that to the police to prosecute individuals. That's why the only punishment handed out from Marseille was to the Russians for their behaviour in the stadium. We won't be kicked out of the tournament.

Toadhall Saint Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 You're talking about something else, I'm talking about that video. Why don't you give us a brief description of that 30sec video - things like who did what etc
whelk Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 You're talking about something else, I'm talking about that video. You telling me you wouldn't want to see a bottle lump into that Russian cnt with the balaclava and knock him out? And fck UEFA they can do what they want which is generally fck all.

Look further down the Pics ....he is spark out on his back ....sorry this is wrong
whelk Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Don't fight back boys we might have to play a qualifier behind closed doors. Think of the bigger picture
Sour Mash Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 You're talking about something else, I'm talking about that video. You're a weirdo.

fanimal Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 These Russian Ultras; presumably they needed visas to get to France, (or Schengen via Germany/Poland?) in which case they must be known to the Russian officials, and then must be on CCTV crossing into Europe if by aircraft, in contrast to English, Welsh, Irish etc who could all travel freely to France. So much blame attached to the Russians and to the border control into Europe from Russia. having worked in Russia and holidayed in Kemer (Turkey) full of them, then had to put up with them buying property near ours in Spain I can say with good first hand experience they are not nice people, even when not paramilitary hooligans.
JakkoUK Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 No Cedric or Fonte starting tonight, strange as they have decided to play Vieirinha at RB who is more of a player suited to RM.
foxy9143 Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Huge goal! Where did that come from! It came from Fonte and Cedric's bit if the pitch...Oh wait they're not playing!
Mr Biscuits Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Brilliant defensive display from Iceland. They also gave great fan chants
Chris27687 Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 Brilliant defensive display from Iceland. They also gave great fan chants That chant was incredible. Haha Ronaldo.
adrian lord Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 What was their chant that sounded like a steam train pulling away from the station? Incredible
doddisalegend Posted 14 June, 2016 Posted 14 June, 2016 That chant was incredible. Haha Ronaldo. What was their chant that sounded like a steam train pulling away from the station? Incredible yeah liked that reckon that would be good at SMS
whelk Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 What an ungracious pr ick. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36535204
Saint_clark Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 What an ungracious pr ick. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36535204 Agreed, but some of what he says is true. There were times Iceland had the opportunity to play it about and even create some space moving forward but just blasted it long. I understand that mindset in qualifiers or friendlies, where a draw against a top nation is a good result - but you're at the finals. If you don't give everything to win, what's the point in being there?
doddisalegend Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 What an ungracious pr ick. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36535204 no surprise..... it'd debatable which is bigger his ego or Iceland
adrian lord Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 This must surely be Portugal's A*sehole Generation, fielding Ronaldo and Pepe simultaneously...
Whitey Grandad Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 What an ungracious pr ick. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36535204 You left out 'arrogant'.
Pass the Dutchie Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 If you don't give everything to win, what's the point in being there? The point is that they're a country with a population of 330k. As the Guardian pointed out, 10% of their entire population was in that stadium last night. They got a point against Portugal (world's #8 / population > 10m). Why risk losing a historic and unexpected point? To please Ronaldo? True, a win would have been even more historic, but I can totally understand their ecstasy and attitude.
Chris27687 Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 Bad quality and not as good as the one at the portugal game - but gives you a good idea if you didn't watch it.
DuncanRG Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 Agreed, but some of what he says is true. There were times Iceland had the opportunity to play it about and even create some space moving forward but just blasted it long. I understand that mindset in qualifiers or friendlies, where a draw against a top nation is a good result - but you're at the finals. If you don't give everything to win, what's the point in being there? They're giving everything to get through. That means taking fewer risks against the best team in the group and securing a point which Hungary and Austria might not get.
sadoldgit Posted 15 June, 2016 Posted 15 June, 2016 Ronaldo had chances that you would expect The Best Player In The World to score from. The fact that he didn't is the reason Portugal did not win. Not Iceland's tactics. Perhaps he should have a look at the playback?
