SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 So it seems we face another summer meltdown yet it seems that 'meltdown' has become shorthand for improvement in recent years. With Koeman looking destined to leave, what would be the most quality consequences of our latest meltdown? For example, my dream meltdown result would be: Koeman leaves and is replaced by an ever better quality manager who not only leads us to unprecedented Premier League highs, but also brings with him quality backroom staff and between them they show Koeman and his crew how to develop our youngsters into world beaters and how to get players desperate to play for Saints rather than anyone else. Of course, the only problem with that scenario is that it reduces the options for further successful meltdowns!!
JxgrSaint Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Surely the best result is a Prem, Europa, FA cup, League cup quadruple to be pedantic Also relegation for both Liverpool teams
gr00031 Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Best meltdown for me would be to get relegated to league 2, would give me an opportunity to go see some of the grounds I wasn't able to when we were previously down there. Then win back to back leagues for 4 straight years, then in the following season win the quadruple, then get relegated the season after and repeat the sequence indefinitely.
cobbysouth Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Surely the best result is a Prem, Europa, FA cup, League cup quadruple to be pedantic Also relegation for both Liverpool teams **** it let's throw tottenham in there as well, maybe even a Manchester team. Oh the growing list of clubs I hate.
Jai27 Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 We bring in AVB, Wanyama leaves and is replaced with Axel Witsel, Cedric turns into the player he's supposed to be due to new confidence from manager, we sign a new central attacking midfielder capable of that killer pass, JayRod and Austin stay fit and find form, we finish in 6th again above Everton and Ron is sacked. Hows that for a slice of fried gold?

Annoyance at the lies from both sides, but trust that we will recruit well has been earnt over previous seasons. People are eagerly awaiting who our new manager will be, and what we'll spend the wanyama and possibly Mane money on.
