Sobering Thought

I don't know why everyone gets so angry. Football owes us nothing...we are the ones that pay our money into a system in which we get nothing in return other than watching people play football. Then we get annoyed when people jump ship...we will never be in the same universe as players but we think we do because we pump our hard earned cash...we don't get to live their celebrity lifestyle. If we all stopped paying into football...football wouldn't survive. It needs your money and in return you get a very small window for the pleasure.

 

I'm glad Koeman is leaving...because it paves the way for someone who I hope will take our Youth Academy forward and see us aim high. If it never gets achieved I wont ever lose sleep as I realise life is worth living. Sharing time with family and friends...those are the things no amount of money can buy...true connection. Unfortunately in football that very connection is false.

I get what you mean, but I think there is a difference between how people view football on here, when they speak with friends etc and how they live the rest of their life.

 

When people talk of a disaster in football terms its obviously different to serious life events or natural disasters.

 

Football is a game of opinions, emotional, irrationality depending on who you support etc. If you took that away it would be quite boring and forums like this would be resigned to talking about kits and sponsors.
