The timing of a change in Manager and effects on our transfer targets

The timing of Koemans departure will surely leave us playing catch up on the transfer market in that we will want to wait to see the new managers thoughts and any player will surely not want to sign up before knowing who our manager is

Surely that puts us at a disadvantage compared to all others who are currently already well into negotiations and setting up deals?

we need to move quickly on a new manager and limit the amount of catch up

Most transfer activity will be put on hold by international football anyway. I'm sure we'll have a manager before long, and almost certainly by the end of the Euros, so I wouldn't worry about it.

The only problem is if, having felt they'd secured Koeman, Saints went and sold him and his plans to other players and now have to backpedal.

Telelgraph article said we had made inroads on targets agreed with Koeman.

Has to make a difference in some form as surely we won't actually sign anyone until we have a new Manager and whilst deals arent likely to be confirmed now lots of the leg work will be being done so has to put us at a disadvantage versus teams who do have a Manager.

Hopefully we get someone in within the next two weeks.

Hopefully the type of player we require will still be the same. The new man may have an opinion on who that player is though.

As we have seen with Koeman the agents are already setting up the deals and will do so throughout the Euros leaving the signatures by the players till after

Also many countries are not in the Euros
