CB Fry Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 How is that xenophobic? We are Limeys. You have taffs, jocks, paddys, frogs, cloggys, yanks, argies, Are you saying all Frogs are muslims? All one billion of them?

verlaine1979 Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Checked in with a friend in Paris whose football hipster credentials are impeccable. Rates both Garcia and Puel, but prefers the latter, saying he has a knack for improving players.
Pengi Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Would make the £20 I stuck on at 14-1 this morning very nice indeed! That is what I did too . Down to 2/1 with Skybet now
Fan The Flames Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Seriously dude, on what planet is this ok in 2016? is frog any worse than sad old git.
Wade Garrett Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Puel might bring Mendy with him to replace Victor.

I'd prefer FdB or Garcia, or Pellegrini, or Moyes.
DT Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Puel 8-1 on Betfair. Garcia favourite with them at 10/11
Jai27 Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Still 8/1 on Bet Victor... What are we basing him signing on?
beavis17 Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Puel certainly turned Hatem Ben Arfa into a world-beater last season...
yellow&blue Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Thevman could be right, only 2 years too soon..... http://www.southamptonrumours.co.uk/southampton-banter-archives/memberposts.php?n=THEVMAN

Pamplemousse Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 He turned down the Anderlecht job last week. Perhaps he already had a better offer on the table...
shurlock Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 If Puel joined, could see us going for Nampalys Mendy - Leicester have lined him as their Kanté replacement. Might help fill the imminent hole left by Wanyama (even if they're physically very different).

It could be for another round of interviews, if we still have multiple candidates. This is a job with a multi-million pound salary, the recruitment process will be very thorough.
DT Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Could be a Puel summer, as the great Bananarama once predicted. ahem.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Could be a Puel summer, as the great Bananarama once predicted. ahem.
Webby Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Could be a Puel summer, as the great Bananarama once predicted. ahem. how is it pronounced? Pool? Puel as in fuel? Pew-ell?
The Cat Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 How is his surname pronounced? We need to know for future forum pun based hilarity.
DT Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 I hope his back-room staff are his brother Puel, Barleymegrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb.
doddisalegend Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Well I guess who ever it is better be ready to play the academy boys .. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1294245/ronald-koeman-didnt-just-go-for-the-dough-he-clashed-with-academy-chief-les-reed-over-saints-kids/
Suhari Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Makes sense to get a French manager. Just a quick hop across the pond for them.
Master Bates Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 ???? http://www.howtopronounce.co.in/puel-in-english/
do i not like fizzy pop Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Saw Neil Ashton 'wrote' it, didn't bother reading any further
kwsaint Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Saints management seem to be going about this in a thorough way again. None of this going for big names or the chairman's mate. It will be interesting to watch how Mourinho gets on at Man U. Doesn't on the face of it seem a natural fit. Someone like MP would have fitted better. I think that we will be pleasantly surprised who we get, whether it is Puel or Garcia or someone else
shurlock Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 what a terrible article, full of non sequiturs And yet if you take your blinkers off, it chimes with a lot of what the ITKers have been saying on here.
Batman Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 perfectly reasonable to think they fell out over the academy it what what we sell ourselves on ffs
Give it to Ron Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 perfectly reasonable to think they fell out over the academy it what what we sell ourselves on ffs Also what Marcus vision was for the club and maybe what Katarina wants to happen to fulfill her fathers vision? Marcus told a friend that.
Window Cleaner Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 I hope his back-room staff are his brother Puel, Barleymegrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grubb. Not a Trumpton fan then ? It's Barney McGrew.
angelman Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Saw Neil Ashton 'wrote' it, didn't bother reading any further I didn't, started reading it, then decided to see who had written while half way through, and then gave up.
eddie Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 This thread has taken exactly the turn I hoped. Moved from just listing out of work ex premier league managers who wouldn't even turn on the saints fan whose only expectation is staying up from relegation (moyes) to suggesting little known, continental types with a knack for attacking football and tracked for years by the saints board to guarantee they are a good breed. I'm excited.
Batman Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Ashton is a nasty piece of work He acts like he is above everything because of the job he has. Samuel is another. They think they are the game at times
angelman Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 "They made it all about the money"??? Has the club actually mentioned anything? It was EFC who brought out the money thing not Saints.
doddisalegend Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 And yet if you take your blinkers off, it chimes with a lot of what the ITKers have been saying on here.

The first part appears to be singularly nasty against the club. Standard Ashton fayre. But he then takes an almighty swipe at Koeman and Everton. I guess he was just on the blob yesterday...

CB Saint Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 Interesting body language. Hands crossed in front of the genitals suggests a feeling of vulnerability. Only Natural for a defender stood in front of goal to cover their balls
adrian lord Posted 17 June, 2016 Posted 17 June, 2016 People can stop the daft talk of Erwin staying here as manager now. It is Merseyside - they will soon swap that clobber for shell suits.
