Chalkboy Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Any of these? Incredible and terrible that Hodgson is at the top of that list.
DT Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Did Martin o'neill sell his flat in winchester? i wondered about him. would not be bad appointment
Saint Charlie Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 i wondered about him. would not be bad appointment About 10 years ago maybe.
DT Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 It's going to be ****ing Howe isn't it. **** me. I really hope not
CB Fry Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 I really hope not It's going to be ****ing Howe isn't it. **** me. I'm writing him off now. Terrible.
Batman Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 I'm writing him off now. Terrible. get behind Howe ffs
Saint IQ Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Martin Schmidt- http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/Bundesliga/blmd26v-who-is-mainz-coach-martin-schmidt.jsp
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 I still think it could be Vincenzo Montella myself...Probably not, but it could be. Or Spalletti...
DT Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Martin Schmidt- http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/Bundesliga/blmd26v-who-is-mainz-coach-martin-schmidt.jsp If he really has had seven different cruciate ligament injuries, he might have the resilience we need.
doddisalegend Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Please not Howe. Surprised to hear AVB and RDB are way down the list behind Howe and Pelligrini, they seem much more natural fits than those two. There's not going to be an appointment for at least a fortnight is there? Which gives us loads of time to randomly name every manager in the world in a desperate attempt to figure out the mystery guy.....
Plastic Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Incredible and terrible that Hodgson is at the top of that list. How in hell is that justified? Or do the FA just think England are the bestest and should pay over £1m pa more than the current champions?
CB Fry Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Which gives us loads of time to randomly name every manager in the world in a desperate attempt to figure out the mystery guy..... Bruce Arena?
Toadhall Saint Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Martin Schmidt- http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/Bundesliga/blmd26v-who-is-mainz-coach-martin-schmidt.jsp Hmmm interesting esp with the Swiss connection
View From The Top Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Martin Schmidt- http://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/Bundesliga/blmd26v-who-is-mainz-coach-martin-schmidt.jsp Believe it or not, he'd be my choice.
doddisalegend Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Any of these? So Everton are going to pay Koeman twice what Roy earns to manage England.....
Toadhall Saint Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 My connection just gave me a name.... Sven He may have but tbh if it was him I'd not be happy
doddisalegend Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Bruce Arena? Jan Poortvliet...experienced working with youth
doddisalegend Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 My connection just gave me a name.... Sven Bender? that should be on the summer transfer thread mate good signing that need a good DM..
Lighthouse Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 I still think it could be Vincenzo Montella myself...Probably not, but it could be. Or Spalletti... I would like this, mainly because he was my favourite player on FIFA c.2001. Did a decent job at Fiorentina though.
ooh it's a corner Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 I've known a few Russian Slutsky's. They should have been on a bonus only....
goneawol Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Felix Magath. I think it's him- the mystery man. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10308367/felix-magath-takes-charge-at-shandong-luneng
Baird of the land Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Please not Howe. Surprised to hear AVB and RDB are way down the list behind Howe and Pelligrini, they seem much more natural fits than those two. There's not going to be an appointment for at least a fortnight is there? Yeah don't see either Howe or Pellegrini as good fits, Emery seems highly unlikely to be interested. Not going to get excited about some random mystery option. Pretty bleak list.
Dig Dig Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Just relieved that Moyes doesn't seem to be in the running.
thorpie the sinner Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Liking the look of Vitor P now that FDB is out!!
Saint Charlie Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Out of interest why are people so down on Eddie Howe?
Doctoroncall Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Believe it or not, he'd be my choice. I preferred Tuchel to Koeman two years ago, if Tuchel was impressed by him then he gets my vote too!
SuperSAINT Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Out of interest why are people so down on Eddie Howe? I'm not one of the people down on him - I'm just not convinced he'd leave Bournemouth for us.
Doctoroncall Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 How in hell is that justified? Or do the FA just think England are the bestest and should pay over £1m pa more than the current champions? Iirc Capello was paid around £5m a year to manage England!
doddisalegend Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Out of interest why are people so down on Eddie Howe? Needs more experience at the top level. We're in Europe I don't want a guy who is still learning the PL trying to figure out European football at the same time. Plus you have to question Bournemouth's end of season form which was poor (was it just "on the beach stuff"?). didn't do particular well at Burnley but seems to be comfortable at Bournemouth. Just think we can do a bit better Howe hasn't really done much more than Adkins achieved so far and we decided Adkins wasn't good enough 4 seasons ago.
nta786 Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Out of interest why are people so down on Eddie Howe? because he doesn't have a fancy foreign name/the media really holds back English managers and players alike back in 2001 when Valencia finished 5th, they hired Rafa Benitez, the man who had promoted Tenerife from second tier football. So what happened that season? Valencia won the La Liga title.
Guan 2.0 Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Interesting, thought Guan said Pelligrini was very unlikely? ITK fight! Mine was based on a shortlist in Feb, K Billy has fresher info.
S-Clarke Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Don't get the not a fit thing, and he'd be my choice out of those mentioned. Stabilise things, attract players, attacking football. Think he deserves a chance with a premier league side that don't replace him while he's still in the job for another 6 months! When I say not a fit, I'm more referring to what we usually seem to look for in managers in terms of their age etc. He'd be a bit of a left field appointment in that sense, but still - terrific manager.
S-Clarke Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Mine was based on a shortlist in Feb, K Billy has fresher info. Cheers Guan. Do you have any further updates in terms of what's going on with Ronald first off....? And if we're still actively trying to acquire players?
SuperSAINT Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Mine was based on a shortlist in Feb, K Billy has fresher info. Guan is back in the house! Any news on players wanting out? (or incomings?)
Guan 2.0 Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 Cheers Guan. Do you have any further updates in terms of what's going on with Ronald first off....? And if we're still actively trying to acquire players? No idea. I'm on holiday for a week so the only way i'll hear anything is if K billy pops round and tells me in person (which is a possibility). But after next Saturday, I'll be back in the loop.

Guan 2.0 Posted 9 June, 2016 Posted 9 June, 2016 WTF?! BREAKING NEWS!! Guan is Ronald! - K.Billy is Louis Van Gaal!? I gave too mush avay! Quick Louis - To The spliffmobile! Head for Queens Park Raisins! But No, Sunny (and soon to be rainy) Rural devon.
