Is it time for a poll?

Some suggested names for our next manager keep recurring. Yet Koeman could actually still be here if Everton walk away from Saints compensation demands, which would be interesting since that would mean that he remains our manager.

So from this list, who do you think would be the BEST for us? One preference only, giving a reason.

FD Boer

Emery

Pellegrini

Eddie Howe

Gary Neville

Roberto Mancinii

Gary Neville

Jurgen Klinsmann

Koeman (remaining, if his negotiations with Everton break down)

Another (say who)

It will be difficult not to be emotional about this, but state who you think will be the BEST manager for the job.

(Mods, if you do not think this should be a poll, merge with New Manager thread)

You're getting emotional. Stick to the OP.

I'm with Batman here, I want whatever you're smoking.

Because if this is a poll, then I'm gonna say Ancelotti would be best for us, but I'd say the odds of him coming here is a 1,000,000-1 in my eyes.

Rudi Garcia? Not sure how he fares with our club ideals but just throwing another name in the hat. Won a title in France, twice runner up in Italy. Unemployed. CL experience getting Roma to the knockout stages. Says he gave 9 Roma youth players their debut in his 2.5 years at the club.

Neville would perhaps give us access to United's academy youngsters on loan; particularly given Mourinho won't ever want to play them. I really like Klinsmann so I'd be happy if he came here, but I'm not entirely convinced he'd be particularly great for us. Got a lot out of an average German side in 2006 though and his USA team looked good at the World Cup.

Can you add Pep, Thomas Tuchel and Keith Hill to the poll please.

And Neil Redfearn.

Tuchel's a strange one to fathom really. After a good start to his career I believe he's now back at Rochdale.

Or have I been reviewing too many managers names over the last 48 hours?

Djamal Belmadi has won the league. Top manager and he knows St Mary's too!

Of the OP's list I think Klinsmann would be a decent choice, big name in the game with decent managerial experience but I don't think we'd attract him. I guess Emery would be the best choice.

I vote for me. I would not leave forever, until I is sacked after the first week.

At which point I will be happy to take the reigns until lunch time as I will be exposed as clueless.

Only in it for the free lunch.
