Would we come straight back up.

Not a chance.

It would be one season of mid-table mediocrity as the club adjusted to the reduced finances, then another relegation battle the following season as the latest tranche of cost-cutting came home to roost.

Not often that me and Alpine agree on much - but I think that he's probably called this one near to the mark.

Can't see us going straight back up - it's not that easy - look at Leeds Utd, it took Forest a fair few years too.

If we go down, supposing we manage to stay in the 3rd tier I can see it taking us a good 4 - 5 years to get back again. As for getting into the top flight - I think your looking at a decade if we get relegated this season. Time to dig in - otherwise it's going to be a long long long way back from this mess.

Individually, our youngsters are capable of playing in any league from the Premiership to League 2 and lower. Collectively, I doubt they'd hold their own in League 1. Some knowledgeable people need to learn this obvious lesson at the club, because the uneducated fans already know this.

Supposing we're relegated which i personally fear is going to happen and we start next season in league 1 with the same side we go down with and with Poortvliet still in charge do you think we're good enough to come straight back up.I think we'd struggle to beat most teams.

with this squad and the dutch joker in charge we will go down again
