It's a blow. However, the Board need to react by getting in a really top high profile experienced manager. That will sweeten the bitter taste and more importantly steady the ship and stop the exodus of players. My concern is the 'albatross' of a European campaign when we should be concentrating on our league status.
badgerx16 Posted 4 June, 2016 Share Posted 4 June, 2016 What should they do ? The press are free to make up and publish whatever sh!te they like, ( especially that piece of toilet paper ), players are mercenaries, and contracts are worthless. Saint Charlie Posted 4 June, 2016 Share Posted 4 June, 2016 Long ? Forster ? Claise ? Convenient names to pull out the hat for the reasons he states. Mostly wrong ones but easy links. Forster is the only potential dodgy one depending what happens with Dave Watson and he just signed a new contract.

You too do realize that none of this has actually happened and very little of it (except Wanyama and Pelle leaving) makes any sense.

pangy Posted 4 June, 2016 Share Posted 4 June, 2016 If FF & VVD have clauses in there contracts it will be too CL clubs not mid table teams like Everton. And if RK wants them thats at least half of his £100m kitty gone already

Saint Without a Halo Posted 4 June, 2016 Share Posted 4 June, 2016 The sun is a sensationalist rag that even if it wanted to doesn't have the intelligence to understand the way Saints want to grow and cannot ever understand how we have succeeded in bettering ourselves in 7 successive seasons
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 5 June, 2016 Share Posted 5 June, 2016 The Sun. It's journos are barely literate and they don't have much of a track record for getting things right. Including the facts.

supersonic Posted 5 June, 2016 Share Posted 5 June, 2016 We knew about Wanyama and Pelle anyway. Both are good players on their day but can easily be upgraded for the money we'd get for them.

eurosaint Posted 5 June, 2016 Share Posted 5 June, 2016 Whilst taking the Sun article with a very chunky piece of salt I would like to add that, unlike Pochettino, Koeman is not known to be particularly close to the players (possible exception is Classie) so I see no reason for them to jump ship to Everton ! Contrarily guys like Tadic, Mane and even Wanyama may well be quite happy to work with someone new ! The assumption in the Sun article is not based on any semblance of fact so should be dismissed without concern IMHO !
