trousers Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Can anyone recommend a decent pub/restaurant in the approx area covered by the map below? Looking for somewhere to have lunch this coming Bank Holiday Monday. Basic requirements are: good food, good ale and teenager (aka fussy eater) friendly. Also need somewhere that takes table reservations. Somewhere 'off the beaten track' would be a bonus. Cheers!
Gruffalo Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Not eaten there for about 5 years, but The Flowerpots at Cheriton is worth a look - their own ales are brewed on the premises and are superb.

Pugwash Posted 27 May, 2016 Posted 27 May, 2016 Hampshire Bowman at Dundridge. http://www.hampshirebowman.com Not sure if you can book. Excellent beer, nice hidden location so mobile-free, do a beer festival last week in July.
Saint-scooby Posted 30 May, 2016 Posted 30 May, 2016 The Bush at Ovington , very close to the Itchen . Amazing this time of year
