cobbysouth Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Saw the article about tadic the other day. Saw this there and it intrigued me " becoming only the fourth player in Premier League history to register three or more assists in a single game on more than one occasion." It reminded me of manes quickest ever hattrick, before this current era of players I don't think SRL, etc. ever got a bpl hattrick. Anyone else know of any other records or interesting stats from any current saints players?
Saint-Armstrong Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Sadio Mané is the only other player in addition to Matt Le Tissier to score two or more Premier League hat-tricks for Saints. (Le Tiss has four and James Beattie has scored one, but they're the only three players to score PL hat-tricks for Saints)
cobbysouth Posted 26 May, 2016 Author Posted 26 May, 2016 Ya see, that's more like it. Genuinely love hearing these sort of stats.
Pilchards Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Did Forster get the most clean sheets record for us?
Saint-Armstrong Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Did Forster get the most clean sheets record for us? I *think* he got the record for most consecutive minutes without conceding. Edit: Yep, just checked it. Fraser went 708 minutes without conceding a goal, beating Paul Jones' record of 666 minutes which was set in 2001.
ericofarabia Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Big Bad Vic's 3 dismissals in a season is the most in any league post war records began.
Bad Wolf Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Did Forster get the most clean sheets record for us? I believe he went the longest amount of time without conceding a goal, due to the time Chelsea scored in that game. You could argue he'd already beaten if you include the games in the lead up to his injury. As for the hatrick stat, I dunno, as far as I'm concerned Pelle got a hatrick against Sunderland during the 8-0. The shot was on target and going in. The ball didn't stop when the Sunderland player touched it. That'll always be Pelle's goal for me and that's his hatrick. We neither did the double over anyone nor had it done over us all season I think. That has to be some sort of record, surely?

paulwantsapint Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Jose Fonte 1st foreign captain to get back to back top 7 finishes?
david in sweden Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 Jose Fonte 1st foreign captain to get back to back top 7 finishes? if you mean "just Saints" then maybe that's correct, but if you mean the Prem. (in general)....surely Vincent Kompany also has a few more than that?

Bobbyboy Posted 26 May, 2016 Posted 26 May, 2016 I thought this thread was going to be about Shane Long's music
Shance Posted 27 May, 2016 Posted 27 May, 2016 Ronald Koeman is the first Saints manager to beat every league team he's come up against in the PL. What's even more impressive is that he's done that in two seasons.
