Nexstar Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 And similarly, Sparta Prague played at home to APEOL in the group stage last year - attendance 9,100 (out of 20,000)
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Has to be worth the gamble - worse case you have a night or two in Prague Good point. The only snag is that you might have to go to a game of fotball.
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Inter will get about 30k max at our game! Nah, we'll probably take a lot more than that
West End Saint Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Did anyone risk going away to FC Midtjylland last season without a ticket? Tempted to go to all 3 of these with or without a ticket and hope to get one on the day (Home or away end) Whilst I did not travel to FC Midtjylland without a ticket there were spare tickets available in the away a friend who traveled with us picked up a ticket no problem If I cannot get a ticket it is what I will do pitch up get in the ground one way or another
Heisenberg Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Email beforehand. During the discussions on here our friend in denmark got involved. I had tried logging into the Midtjylland website and got as far as selecting my seats but they wanted a Danish credit card for payment and at that point I was thinking about contacting my old Danish contacts. Does anybody on here know any Saints fans that live in Italy, Czech Republic, Israel even? Where there's a will, there's a way!! Good work sir
SuperSAINT Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 INTER MILAN!! Absolutely brilliant. Who would have thought it a few years ago?!
niceandfriendly Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Last time they were in the EL, Inter's biggest group game was against St. Etienne, attendance at the San Siro was 33,000. So just the 47,000 empty seats Whilst that guarantees any Saints fan a ticket if they want one, it's also a shame they don't get close to selling out for these games. Never mind, still going to be fantastic.
whelk Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Whatever allocation if you travel to Milan you are going to watch the game. Happy days
Surman4no7shirt Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Yes! Didn't even consider they might give us more tickets. Sing a happy happy happy happy happy song. I believe there is a fairly large "neutral" area as well.
Pat from Poole Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 If we beat Inter at St Mary's and/or San Siro, will Pompey fans shut up about the 3-3 draw with AC Milan using players they never fully paid for? Probably not. 2-2 actually. With great thanks to Inzaghi for his injury-time equaliser.
positivepete Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Isreal, just as well I have two passports, one for my Arab country entry stamps, and one for the rest!
suewhistle Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Saints Siro! Should be no problem getting tickets. I might go via Torino and have a few days over there. If we do get a big crowd maybe we'll need charters as regular flights will be overwhelmed.
Doctoroncall Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Has to be worth the gamble - worse case you have a night or two in Prague I can recommend going to the state opera house, lovely place. I saw Tosca there a few years back. Great performance.
Le Timmier Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Edit: Who would have thought that there were two teams called Hapoel? I think there's about 15-20 clubs called "Hapoel *something*" Hapoel essentially means "sports club". Bit like "....spor" in Turkey Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Isreal, just as well I have two passports, one for my Arab country entry stamps, and one for the rest! When we went the Israelis didn't actually stamp our passports, they gve us an entry document which we kept in our passports and handed back on leaving. We were only there for a day visit so maybe that was different. Are meals out cheap in Israel Just a thought...
suewhistle Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 I can recommend going to the state opera house, lovely place. I saw Tosca there a few years back. Great performance. Of course, La Scala and it's the autumn season! I'm going to have a good time...

Was she that fat girl behind the ice cream stall, the one with with the fishnet stockings? I don't suppose she's still there these days
alehouseboys Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 we'll need charters as regular flights will be overwhelmed. Altogether now..."C'mon Virgin, C'mon Virgin..."

saints1988 Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 I will lose my **** if we draw Inter!! Please!!! How much **** was lost?
The9 Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Isreal, just as well I have two passports, one for my Arab country entry stamps, and one for the rest! They stamp a visa card now.
Heisenberg Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Flights from Edinburgh to Milan (MXP) from £60
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Flights from Edinburgh to Milan (MXP) from £60 Being up in Scotland you'll be fine, f'sure. Looking to use Avios and Club Carlson points for my whole trip.
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Of course, La Scala and it's the autumn season! I'm going to have a good time... Fill your scarpe: http://www.teatroallascala.org/en/season/2015-2016/opera/index.html 7th December is Madam Bufferfly :o
Saint_clark Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Altogether now..."C'mon Virgin, C'mon Virgin..." Isn't Virginmedia completely separate?
Heisenberg Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Being up in Scotland you'll be fine, f'sure. Looking to use Avios and Club Carlson points for my whole trip. London Stansted will be a good bet - unless you can jump on Southampton flights quickly
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 London Stansted will be a good bet - unless you can jump on Southampton flights quickly Heathrow for me, closest airport. BA do tons of flights per day.
Surman4no7shirt Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 They stamp a visa card now. I think he's more worried about the Arabic stamps tbh.
alehouseboys Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Isn't Virginmedia completely separate? I believe it is but maybe someone knows someone... in an ideal world... and we have seen they do like helping travelling supporters.
Whitey Grandad Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 I think he's more worried about the Arabic stamps tbh. We had Arabic stamps in ours with no problems getting into Israel. I think it's those with Israeli stamps who have problems with Arab countries.
niceandfriendly Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Flights from Edinburgh to Milan (MXP) from £60 For which dates? Constantly hitting refresh to see the fixtures...... commme onnnnnnn
The9 Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 I think he's more worried about the Arabic stamps tbh. Fair point.
The9 Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 For which dates? Constantly hitting refresh to see the fixtures...... commme onnnnnnn Like everyone else he's probably only checking Matchday 1.
Saint_clark Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 For which dates? Constantly hitting refresh to see the fixtures...... commme onnnnnnn Think they do a separate draw later in the day...kind of stupid really and shows yet again how little consideration they give for the travelling fans, as this is the most important information.
LGTL Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Could really do with Inter away not being Matchday 1 or 2
dinger Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Palestine flags at the ready! I was just coming here to suggest that.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Could really do with Inter away not being Matchday 1 or 2 Please not matchday 1!!! Can't make that one.
Sour Mash Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Palestine flags at the ready! The club gets sanctions for that.
LGTL Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Please not matchday 1!!! Can't make that one. I'm a teacher - getting 2 days off is going to be hard enough as it is, but if those 2 days are in September it becomes almost impossible.
Batman Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Inter Milan. Get in. And an away day in Prague What not to like
Saint_clark Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Could really do with Inter away not being Matchday 1 or 2 Yep. Ideal result for me would be Prague away is matchday 1, then I can just write that off and definitely do the other two.
Saint-Fred Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Think they do a separate draw later in the day...kind of stupid really and shows yet again how little consideration they give for the travelling fans, as this is the most important information. Why is that inconsiderate to the fans?
bazza Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Israel is a fantastic place and Tel Aviv is a real party city. We are about an hour away by car from Tel Aviv. Customs / Mossad will have a field day with travelling fans, going in and out of the country, but its all bark and no bite.... as long as you keep your cool. Spot on. Was in Tel Aviv watching NI in 2013, it's a wonderful modern city with cracking restaurants, nightlife and a white sand beach on its doorstep. In complete contrast the traditional & religious city of Jerusalem is well worth a day trip too. Security in & out of the airport's very intensive right enough. Our small group were (randomly I presume) pulled to one side for a bit of questioning. Squeaky bum time! lol When you look at their place in the region it's understandable though. I've been to approx 40 away internationals & Israel was my clear favourite. It's fantastic.
hypochondriac Posted 26 August, 2016 Posted 26 August, 2016 Yep. Ideal result for me would be Prague away is matchday 1, then I can just write that off and definitely do the other two. What are the dates for the three matchdays?
