I'm sure if he left the Foxes for West Ham it would only be because he's sold on their vision for the future, and their high ambition.

Nothing to do with money.

And as much as leaving for the Emirates would also be about money, that would at least actually mean more chance of winning more things.

Everton in for Clasie apparently. I wonder how much we will sting them for that. Why do I get the feeling Jordy leaving wouldn't spark off much of a meltdown especially if Everton pay more than we did a year ago...

That article really is the worst form of click bait imaginable, all they have seen is that Koeman has worked with him twice so therefor must want to take him with him, the article even says he was a key player for us last season which I'm sure even he wouldn't agree with! Oh and your right if that's the player he most wants and we sting them for a profit nobody will bat an eye lid!

So this is what ambition looks like £15 million for 29yr old Scott Dann.....

Apparently Koeman scoped him out for Saints but it didnt happen - hopefully because someone else overruled him. Maybe we're parting company at the right time....

Maybe it was the final straw. Les refused to sanction the signing of Dann leaving Koeman to look for a club that would show the sort of ambition to land such a high calibre signing ?

Manchester City are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sky sources understand.

another target gone.

no danger, City have no chance of finishing above everton. Im surprised the toffees are not in for him, he would surely jump at the chance to play for a team with historic dugouts

From what I heard from toffeeweb sources, they're signing Aguero which is why City needed to get this over the line ASAP.

Don't think Aubameyang is good enough for Everton tbh

More on that:

CITY CLOSE ON AUBAMEYANG

Sky sources: Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund in advanced negotiations for the transfer of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang.

According to Sky sources, City are also interested in Everton defender John Stones and Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte as they look to bring up to five first team players to the Etihad this summer.

SOURCES: BAILLY PASSES MEDICAL

"Whatever City can do..."

Sky sources understand Eric Bailly has completed his medical ahead of a move to Manchester United.

The Villarreal defender would become Jose Mourinho's first Manchester United signing for a fee in the region of £30m.

How on earth are clubs like us expected to compete with some of the transfers being banded about already.

Leicester winning the league won't happen again for a long while.

The big clubs were underperforming drastically.

It won't happen again.

We're not supposed to. Imagine you are a resident of Zhengzhou, who would you rather watch....Chelsea vs Liverpool or WBA vs Saints? Advertisers and TV companies are going to pay for the big boys, not us small ones. It's not really in the interests of the PL bosses to have a hugely level playing field that allows the likes of us outside of the big boys to challenge every year. Leicester last year wasn't in the script but seeing as it has happened it can give the impression that anyone can do it and the PL will no doubt use that (even as the title winning team is ripped to shreds).

You're saying that like you are surprised - Leicester were 5,000-1 shots for a reason. It's probably 30 years away from happening again.

Spot on the competition now is more about brand and commercial impact worldwide than league position.

That is why we are now focusing on building up the brand and name overseas, we are a long way behind the big boys at present a far greater distance than a mere few points in the table. Although to your ordinary man on the Zhengzhou omnibus ( to misquote lord Denning) I would would hazard a guess that both Saints and big history Everton are equally unknowns to him currently.

@TotalDutchFB: #Middlesbrough are in pole position for Hakim Ziyech according to local newspaper Tubantia #FCTwente #Boro via @FCTwenteLatest

Seriously? How has such a talented player not been snapped up by a proper team yet? Does he have a reputation as a bit of a plonker?

£70-80m?

£12m Wanyama

£20m Forster

£35m VVD

Total - £67m - reckon thats about right (VVD maybe a bit overpriced) assuming there are no fee related clauses.

Also assumes those players would be interested in moving, and whether Everton can demonstrate theybare in fact a better bet than Saints. Would be very suprised and disappointed (Vic aside) if any of those joined Everton this summer.

I'd be very surprised if they got Victor he clearly thinks he is good enough for one of the traditional big 6 teams...

@DeanJonesBR: Leicester are bidding for Troy Deeney irrelevant of what happens with Vardy. Want him even if Vardy stays

Could be an interesting one not sure how players will view Leicester. I guess they have a bit more cash to splash than some teams now but weather they are a draw in the way a team like Liverpool, spurs etc are (despite winning the league) remains to be seen.

Well he left for a club with ambition and I bet he is well happy with your ambitious targets Scott Dann, Lewis Dunk and trading in Lukaku for Pelle who we are looking to off load ?

#smashingglassceilings

In fact he is so impressed he can't even be bothered to cut his holiday short to sign the contract ?
