SaintBitterne Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 West Ham being as open as ever with their transfers .31 mill for lacazette seems a lot. Also Reece Oxford turned down a new contract there . Liverpool in for Walcott .needs to get out of Arsenal and start playing regularly again. Any other rumours? Such disrespectful conduct. They'll end up in the same position as us though because the players will have their heads turned by agent agitation and the lure of big money contracts. Then they go on a strop, the club doesn't want dressing room unrest, they get a big offer, say it was too good to resist and off they go ! (ie. Lovren, Lallana)

Saw an article on this on the net today that claimed this Chilwell guy has already told Leicester he sees his future at Liverpool. If that's true that really puts player transfers in to perspective when you can win the league and still lose players to a traditional big club with no European football next season that finished 8th. Why? It's not like he's getting much -indeed any- football at leicester. He's unlikely to feature in next season's CL campaign either. As such, Liverpool remains the better long-term bet. Yet despite winning the league they are still just Leicester and can still lose players to Liverpool. The collective wisdom on here is Champions league football was the way for a club to keep the players they wanted..

shurlock Posted 21 May, 2016 Share Posted 21 May, 2016 With Leicester in the CL next year there's every likelihood that he'll get game time as they look to rotate the squad a bit more. Don't deny that. But let's be clear: he's not giving up regular or quasi-regular football or he would play in Leicester's likely short-lived European football. He's never played for Leicester. He's their brightest academy prospect (he wants more than £20k pw) but is well behind Fuchs (even Shlupp has started ahead of him at LB). As such, references to Liverpool being out of Europe and Leicester being in the CL are largely irrelevant, other than Leicester's greater need to rotate (who says the scousers won't rotate in domestic cup competitions too). In one sense, it doesn't come close to the level of knobbishness exhibited by the likes of Chambers.

qwertyell Posted 24 May, 2016 Share Posted 24 May, 2016 5 mil seems a bit of a snip! Definitely was 'the next big thing' a year or two back. Entering the final year of he contract. Badly ruptured his hamstring in early 2014, which had to be sewn, stapled and glued back together, missed the entire 14/15 season and only started appearing again for Ajax this season, a diminished version of the player he was. £3.8m could turn out to be a bargain - the talent is still there and he's only 21. But he might be playing the rest of his career on one good leg. Sent from my VF-895N using Tapatalk

Fabrice29 Posted 25 May, 2016 Share Posted 25 May, 2016 Stoke have a lot of money behind them to be fair but lets not go down the route of being jealous of them again. The reason they end of there is because nobody else wants them. The majority are players that were overhyped in the media but never good enough to get a move...or failed in a move..and then ended up at Stoke.
