thedogpuck Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 Interested to see what the full table would look like if each tie was worth three points, ties that would have gone to pens to be worth one point.
saintmatt Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 I believe we also beat 17 of the 19 teams we played (can you name the two we didn't?) and had no one do the double over us (but only did the double over one team - can you name them?) Saint IQ Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 Everton and Leicester we didn't beat. We did the double over Swansea?
Alanh Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 Everton (2 draws) and Leicester (Draw and Loss) I guess you are still in denial about the Everton home match then. It was nowhere near a draw! They absolutely monstered us.
niceandfriendly Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 Interesting to note that this season in all of the games we played whereby we won we picked up the three points in the match. Had we then of course conceded an equaliser we'd have been awarded just one point as proved by what happened after the 2-2 with Leicester earlier in the season. Indeed they did... For some unknown reason I had it in my head it was 0-0!! Must be old age!!
manina-pub Posted 17 May, 2016 Share Posted 17 May, 2016 DJ Danny Baker has previously suggested that there should be an extra point on offer if over the 2 games you win on aggregate.... could provide last day of the season mayhem
SaintBobby Posted 18 May, 2016 Share Posted 18 May, 2016 DJ Danny Baker has previously suggested that there should be an extra point on offer if over the 2 games you win on aggregate.... could provide last day of the season mayhem That's quite a cute idea. Would it actually make much difference to the table though?
manina-pub Posted 19 May, 2016 Share Posted 19 May, 2016 It might do but applying it retrospectively on last season would be (excuse the pun) pointless ... as it wasn't in place to motivate teams
