And also the small matter of securing our highest league finish since 1984.

 

And getting us into Europe for a second year running.

 

I have to confess I was starting to have my doubts when results weren't going our way mid-season, but I would be delighted if he was to agree a contract extension now.

Must say, after Midtjylland and a shaky period in the middle of the season, I thought things were going in exactly the opposite direction that they ended up going.

Looking on Wikipedia, Strachan and Adkins both did about the same time - just under 2 yrs and 4 months. Ron was appointed in June 2014 so, assuming he is still here then, some time in October this year will see him surpass that.

Let's have a bit of stability - be great to have a settled manager, team and management structure for the next 4 to 5 years and build (particularly the academy), even if we finish mid table. Let's consolidate being a biggish PL club and then build from that.
