doddisalegend Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Shy retiring little flower isn't he? He really could do with having a bit more confidence in himself
Mr Biscuits Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 I've always believed that modesty was one of his more obvious qualities
Toadhall Saint Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 That is a good looking stand (if there is such a thing).
Mr Biscuits Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 That is a good looking stand (if there is such a thing). Whatever floats your boat
Toadhall Saint Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Whatever floats your boat Football stands [emoji6]
Mr Biscuits Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Football stands [emoji6] And now I'm never going to be able to sit in a seat at a football stadium without feeling dirty and used. Thank you.
Toadhall Saint Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 And now I'm never going to be able to sit in a seat at a football stadium without feeling dirty and used. Thank you. That's ok your welcome! Ever been to nottarf krap? Takes years to scrub that away! [emoji4]

Mallagroth Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Honestly even if he was by some bizarre turn of circumstance actually interested in coming to us, we should be steering well clear. It's guys like this who will stop a team from playing 'together'. With the competition and money in our league now, the difference has swung in favour of well functioning and bonded teams as opposed to bank breaking teams full or prima donnas. It's been going that way for last couple of seasons, Southampton, Leicester, West Ham are all examples of it. The trend will continue next season as well. We need to ship out the ego's (Pelle in my opinion) and get in honest, likeable team players like Bertrand, Schlong and Forster who will mix into the current setup.

Ibrahimovic is the club's record goalscorer despite only joining the club in 2012, his 152 goals coming in 178 appearances. ...
Mallagroth Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 ... Yes he has scored a lot of goals but arguably in the least competitive professional league in Europe. I'm not arguing he isn't a great striker, I'm saying that team spirit is proven to be more valuableto teams like ours in the current climate than the contribution he 'could' bring. In a team of big name stars he would be at his best as he would have something to prove. In a team of hard working professionals (without glory brand names) he would bully the others and blame them for all shortcomings, he wouldn't need to work his socks off yet would expect every man and his dog to run around him like he was the second coming of the Messiah.
naiser Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Shy retiring little flower isn't he? He really could do with having a bit more confidence in himself Would be interesting if he said "came like a king, left like a saint" Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
david in sweden Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 One year deal at Everton on the table. he's surely doesn't need the money .......after all those transfers, and he won't be getting Euro football at Everton next season......
david in sweden Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Honestly even if he was by some bizarre turn of circumstance actually interested in coming to us, we should be steering well clear. It's guys like this who will stop a team from playing 'together'. .....which is a valid point. His goal-scoring record is surely great, but PSG are about a division above all the other clubs in the French League, and win everything. He's always been " a bit of a prima-donna" but not renowned for dropping back to mark opponents and help out at the back. If he comes .....and scores goals regularly he might be forgiven by many, but I don't see him as "team player" in the same sense as Long or even Pelle.
Monk Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 As previously mentioned and referenced in his book, Zlatan is above Southampton in his and most peoples opinions.... He won't be coming.
Mr Biscuits Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 I completely agree Monk. However I see it as my bound duty to keep this thread going so that in can become a Portsmyth and therefore give us another excuse to take the p!ss out of them for believing it. And of course: Zlatan..... (Actually it just occurred to me what would happen if Zlatan and Costa came up against each other in a PL match........)
Yorkshire Saint Posted 13 May, 2016 Author Posted 13 May, 2016 Keep believing, I asked for an update today to no avail. Let the season finish first that's all I got.
Matthew Le God Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Keep believing, I asked for an update today to no avail. Let the season finish first that's all I got. Are you confident enough to have put a bet on it? If so can you screenshot the betslip?
Yorkshire Saint Posted 13 May, 2016 Author Posted 13 May, 2016 Are you confident enough to have put a bet on it? If so can you screenshot the betslip? Funnily enough I am happy to have a flutter on it. Though I am not a betting man...
EBS1980 Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 Are you confident enough to have put a bet on it? If so can you screenshot the betslip? 40/1 currently, never gonna happen though
Patrick Bateman Posted 13 May, 2016 Posted 13 May, 2016 40/1 currently, never gonna happen though 5000/1. Leicester.
martel Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 If I am right I am bagging ITK status, life time membership. I have been told by someone close to the Italian media and a Juventus s/t holder that Zlatan Ibrahimović has agreed a summer move to Southampton - on the basis of his exceptional relationship with Ronald at Ajax. Wage structure to be demolished in line with new TV revenue. If I am wrong hey who cares I loved hearing it. Stranger things have happened in football, i listened to him some time ago being interviewed on radio, he was talking about how Southampton tried to sign him ( In Rupert's time), but felt and did say respectfully he could move to a bigger club at the time.
Whitey Grandad Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 But will his name fit on the back of the shirts?
Chalkboy Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 But will his name fit on the back of the shirts? Zlatan needs no name.
sadoldgit Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 But will his name fit on the back of the shirts? More to the point, will his ego fit in the dressing room?
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 But will his name fit on the back of the shirts? Zlatan's name does not fit onto the shirt, the shirt is made to fit Zlatan's name.
Crab Lungs Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 A lot of scare stories about Ibra, people should watch the documentary about him. He calls out bull****ters and fakes, that's all. Hardly a Osvaldo, who was a certified nutter.
Yorkshire Saint Posted 14 May, 2016 Author Posted 14 May, 2016 When Zlatan ibrahimovic hit pubity .. It died !
Yorkshire Saint Posted 14 May, 2016 Author Posted 14 May, 2016 When Zlatan left home he told his dad ... Your the man of the house now ...
Yorkshire Saint Posted 14 May, 2016 Author Posted 14 May, 2016 Ronaldinho juggles footballs Zlatan juggles Ronaldinhos
Badger Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 When Zlatan left home he told his dad ... Your the man of the house now ... ... did Zlatan slap the midwife's arse after he was born ? (seems a recycling of a Nigel Pearson thread when he was our manager).
Suhari Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 These are just old Chuck Norris jokes. And without the beard.
Whitey Grandad Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 Zlatan needs no name. Somehow I can't imagine anyone singing: 'One Zlatan Ibrahimovic, there's only one Zlatan...' You get the drift.
Mr Biscuits Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 These are just old Chuck Norris jokes. No. The Chuck Norris jokes were old Zlatan jokes. Time does not apply to Zlatan.
Yorkshire Saint Posted 14 May, 2016 Author Posted 14 May, 2016 No. The Chuck Norris jokes were old Zlatan jokes. Time does not apply to Zlatan. Zlatan does not do jokes Jokes do Zlatan
SO16_Saint Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 Image the confusion when The Echo report: "Southampton doesn't sign Zlatan. Zlatan signs for Southampton"
benjii Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 Arrival of a king, departure of a legend, haircut of a ***.
a1ex2001 Posted 14 May, 2016 Posted 14 May, 2016 We are never going to sign him in the real world but if by some miracle he was interested we should get him on the bus ASAP!
Chalkboy Posted 15 May, 2016 Posted 15 May, 2016 We are never going to sign him in the real world but if by some miracle he was interested we should get him on the bus ASAP! Miracles yes. Buses no. There are some things Zlatan cannot do.
Yorkshire Saint Posted 15 May, 2016 Author Posted 15 May, 2016 Miracles yes. Buses no. There are some things Zlatan cannot do. Let's be clear....Zlatan can do Wilts and Dorset ... Wilts and Dorset can not do Zlatan
CeeBee Posted 16 May, 2016 Posted 16 May, 2016 Great programme about Zlatan on Sky last night. Would have him in a heartbeat, even for one season. Huge talent.
Yorkshire Saint Posted 16 May, 2016 Author Posted 16 May, 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/gossip Sorry Zlatan I might have spoilt the surprise
B Rabbit Posted 16 May, 2016 Posted 16 May, 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/gossip Sorry Zlatan I might have spoilt the surprise It does make you wonder. It's certainly moderately plausible!
naiser Posted 16 May, 2016 Posted 16 May, 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/gossip Sorry Zlatan I might have spoilt the surprise Given that Koeman is heavily hinting that the discussions next week will be for the club to match his ambitions, it suggests that nothing has been cast in stone. Therefore, Zlatan can't know for certain with respect to the Saints... Unless we take the line of argument seen in this thread. Southampton doesn't sign Zlatan. Zlatan signs Southampton. yellow&blue Posted 22 May, 2016 Posted 22 May, 2016 Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "Manchester United wanted my services...I told them l don't play on Thursday." That's us out of the running then.......
