Micky Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Great, great achievement, gives hope to all of the clubs outside of the big 4 or 5, well done - enjoy the party...!
Dalek2003 Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 An hostoric moment in football. Well done Leicester ! One in the eye for the big 6 !!!
Colinjb Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 They have given us all license to dream. Leicester City, I applaud you.
aintforever Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Amazing achievement, hopefully the start of a new era where the big boys don't dominate as much.
austsaint Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Well done Leicester - great sporting achievement. I'm not sure which game I enjoyed most - our win against City or the 2-2 draw just witnessed.
beatlesaint Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Absolutely superb story, gives us all hope and as has been said is one in the eye for the big teams
BallBoy Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Couldn't be happier unless it were Saints. It opens the door for all of us now.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 http://pbs.twimg.com/ext_tw_video_thumb/727241532298899456/pu/img/k5drA_Ir9zZKwH_T.jpg Amazing.
S-Clarke Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Cannot applaud them enough. This has been the most weird season in English football, ever. You can't help but have a laugh at the likes of Utd who spent £200m+ in the summer and they are no where near. Leicester has given everyone hope, this is easily the most competitive league around at the moment.
Chalkboy Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 http://pbs.twimg.com/ext_tw_video_thumb/727241532298899456/pu/img/k5drA_Ir9zZKwH_T.jpg Amazing. Sends shivers down the spine!
Daft Kerplunk Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Whilst the big teams buy stars, Leicester built a team. Congratulations to them and let's hope we follow them to success very soon.
shurlock Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Congrats Leicester. And to think aiming for top 4 marks you out as a deluded, m**g f**kwit on here.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Leicester fans outside Vardy's house dancing on the street! What a brilliant, brilliant story.
Jimmy_D Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Incredible. Always believed that something like this happening was possible (albeit for Saints!), but can't honestly say I believed I would actually see it happen. Congratulations to Leicester, and thank you for giving the rest of us hope. Utterly amazing.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Congratulations Leicester. Brilliant, brilliant stuff. Wasn't watching the Spurs v Chelsea game but seen lots of stuff about the bad behaviour of the Spurs players at the end. What's was that all about?
S-Clarke Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Congratulations Leicester. Brilliant' date=' brilliant stuff. Wasn't watching the Spurs v Chelsea game but seen lots of stuff about the bad behaviour of the Spurs players at the end. What's was that all about?[/quote'] The game was x-rated. Made for great viewing, but everyone was fighting with each other most of the game.
Saint_clark Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Won that £85 from betting on them to beat Chelsea back in december as well! Over the moon. Couldn't believe my luck that they were still 18/1 despite being top in december.
CB Fry Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Brilliant stuff. Achieved the unthinkable the only way a club like them (or us) can - from nowhere. No "aiming for it", no real plan for it, no investment for it, no incremental building up the table, just blam. They may be football's greatest ever firework but what a season and what an achievement.
The9 Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Yep, well done for not letting Spurs do it, into the history books. Incredible achievement. Moving on, can't wait for the fans of about 15 clubs with completely unrealistic expectations for next season all kicking off at the same time... including Leicester's.
The9 Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Congratulations Leicester. Brilliant' date=' brilliant stuff. Wasn't watching the Spurs v Chelsea game but seen lots of stuff about the bad behaviour of the Spurs players at the end. What's was that all about?[/quote'] That specific bit was something to do with Spurs back-up keeper Michel Vorm and possibly Eddie Newton from the Chelsea coaching staff just before heading down the tunnel.
Hockey_saint Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Brilliant brilliant result for the Foxes and my heart bleeds for the north London yobbos ha....ha....hahahaha
CB Fry Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Leicester's last match is at Chelsea right? That will be rather lovely for Claudio and might remind some of the Chelsea fans and players of a time when they were quite likeable as a club.
eelpie Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Quite wonderful. The best team has deservedly won the title. Spurs played dirty football in their attempts to beat Chelsea and deserved to fail.. Well done Leicester. You are an inspiration.
DuncanRG Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Hope this means we can retire that god awful chant of 'we've come from League One'.
eelpie Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 How weird it was this evening to be in a London pub full of Tottenham and Chelsea supporters to find myself cheering for Chelsea.
scotty Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Brilliant achievement, and I echo the comments above about this opening up the prem. But I've got to say it, their game against us left a really sour taste in my mouth. Not because we lost, but the way they played. Vardy is obviously a terrific goalscorer, but that two footed legbreaker that (iirc) he didn't even get booked for?? Wtf was going on there? And they got every reffing decision that day. I started watching that match almost hoping we'd lose it, but by the end I was wanting spurs to catch them.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Footage of just outside Leicester's ground right now -
Graffito Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 Leicester's last match is at Chelsea right? That will be rather lovely for Claudio and might remind some of the Chelsea fans and players of a time when they were quite likeable as a club. Chelsea were never likeable, not even quite.
Hamilton Saint Posted 2 May, 2016 Posted 2 May, 2016 http://www.theonion.com/article/premier-league-leicester-city-title-order-will-soo-52846 " ... Just hours after the statement’s publication, the Premier League released the 2016-2017 season schedule, which reportedly indicated that Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City will each play 38 home games."
Redslo Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Congrats Leicester. And to think aiming for top 4 marks you out as a deluded, m**g f**kwit on here. Well sure, it means you lack the ambition and confidence to try to win the title.
Dalek2003 Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Congrats Leicester. And to think aiming for top 4 marks you out as a deluded, m**g f**kwit on here. Actually, they started off by concentrating on getting enough points to stay up, then enough to get into Europe and then....

CB Fry Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Congrats Leicester. And to think aiming for top 4 marks you out as a deluded, m**g f**kwit on here. I think what marks you out as a deluded, m***g f**wit on here is drivelling on about net spend being the most important factor for the success of a football club. Like, well, you.
Redslo Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 I think what marks you out as a deluded, m***g f**wit on here is drivelling on about net spend being the most important factor for the success of a football club. Like, well, you. Historically, player wages has been the most reliable indicator of success. We have generally outperformed that indicator in recent years. Leicester certainly did so this year. Perhaps that indicator will not work as well in the EPL anymore with all the new TV money coming in.
CityRanger Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 A Premier League title medal for Nathan Dyer? First academy product since Wayne Bridge to do that? Calling statisticians!
Saint Billy Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Well done Leicester, you have broken the trend and proved that it can be done by us so called smaller clubs.
captainchris Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Well done Leicester.... Although they enjoyed incredible 'luck' or slight bias with referee decisions in the last few games which could and should have blown the title wide open for last 6 or 8 games.
captainchris Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Brilliant achievement, and I echo the comments above about this opening up the prem. the saint in winchester Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Whilst the big teams buy stars, Leicester built a team. Congratulations to them and let's hope we follow them to success very soon. That's a good summary. Satisfying that you can't (always) buy success.
Nordic Saint Posted 3 May, 2016 Posted 3 May, 2016 Congratulations to Leicester's owner, manager, staff, players and fans. They've done a fantastic job. This is a a tremendous season for English football. It's so much better than the dark days of the 80s and 90s, when Liverpool and Man United predictably won the league every year, and crowds plummeted. Now, the huge amounts of money EVERY team gets mean there is a level playing field again for the first time since the 1960s and 70s. 4 different teams have won it in the last 4 years and another 4 could win it in the next 4, including Saints. Really looking forward to our next 2 games and to next season.
