He did not want to be the talk/blame/centre of it all If you see what gets bookings in other games that he let off tonight. How Dier never got a 2nd yellow, I'll never know. Would be handy if they're without Dembele and Lamela on Sunday.
5string Posted 2 May, 2016 Share Posted 2 May, 2016 Amazing for Leicester. Congratulations to them. Spurs were just nasty. 9 yellows and a potential 2nd ban in 2 games coming up (Dembele). I dunno, Alli punches, Dembele gouges - these are serious offences. Even in a physical game like rugby they'd get proper serious citations and lengthy bans. Dirty Spurs. S-Clarke Posted 2 May, 2016 Share Posted 2 May, 2016 No idea why the Dier tackle was ignored, should have gone straight back to that after the Mason yellow. But Spurs looked shot at the end, absolutely gone. Their heads were all over the place. Yeah that couldn't have gone any better for us unless Kane was sent off. Their fans will be flat on Sunday too you would think. Clattenburg I thought did as well as could be expected until that last 10mins when he lost control. Dier 100% should have gone and even his first yellow could have been a red. 5string Posted 2 May, 2016 Share Posted 2 May, 2016 Quote from Tony Cottee: Former Leicester man Tony Cottee spoke to Sky Sports News HQ about the Foxes' incredible title win. "They have played really well as a team and they have had a little bit of luck. What you would call the top teams... have been off-form, and Leicester haven’t had too many injuries or suspensions. "But let’s take absolutely nothing away from them, they have been the best team, and that is the biggest compliment I can pay them. Not the best individuals, but the best team." Er, you just did, mate!

When Dier committed that foul, Clattenberg reached into his pocket for the second yellow, but then ran upfield to the developing spotfire and didn't get back to Dier. Can the red be given retrospectively?
5string Posted 2 May, 2016 Share Posted 2 May, 2016 Most of the team had to be taken off to avoid a second yellow! The only starting Spuds player not to be either booked or subbed was Loris, the 'keeper (and captain?). Surely an FA charge for not controlling their players, on top of any individual bans (e.g. Dembele).

I think the 2nd yellow was on his mind and MP's too - but yeah, they looked gone in the head. They've always been quite a fragile team mentally, historically. They will be low as hell next weekend, no doubts about it.
