Batman Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Pretty significant today (sat) for the relegation race obviously, the title can be wrapped up this weekend too Watching the Bolton v Hull game (part of my accy) and what an atrocious game of football
S-Clarke Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 I reckon Sunderland and Newcastle will both win and with Norwich at Arsenal later on, they will be quite simply screwed.
Lighthouse Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 WBA vs Wham the only game we really care about today. Need a Baggies win for any hope of Europe really.
SuperSAINT Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 I reckon Sunderland and Newcastle will both win and with Norwich at Arsenal later on, they will be quite simply screwed. This.
Saint Charlie Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 WBA vs Wham the only game we really care about today. Need a Baggies win for any hope of Europe really. WBA have Leko, aged 17, starting up front. Solid side at home West Brom but think WHU will have too much quality for them unfortunately.
Doctoroncall Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 WBA have Leko, aged 17, starting up front. Solid side at home West Brom but think WHU will have too much quality for them unfortunately. Could have said that about Spurs at WHL against the baggies last week and look what happened. End of season games are harder to predict and a gamblers nightmare.
SaintBobby Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Am conflicted about this. I want Norwich to stay up, but want Arsenal top 4 not Man Utd. Guess I'll just limit myself to cheering on WBA.
SuperSAINT Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Would just love it if Palace win up there. So would Pardew!
Shroppie Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Wham two up. No Europe this year. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Matthew Le God Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 WBA vs Wham the only game we really care about today. Need a Baggies win for any hope of Europe really. Wham two up. No Europe this year. Why are you ruling it out on the basis of that one game? If Saints win tomorrow they'll be 2 points behind West Ham and are currently only 1 point behind Liverpool. West Ham and Man Utd's game in hand is against each other. They can't both get 3 points from it.
Ice2Eskimos Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Would like to see Arsenal win today because I think Chelsea will probably beat Spurs on monday. And it's not impossible for Arsenal to overtake Spurs either.
Ice2Eskimos Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Also like to see Leicester win for obv reasons.
Batman Posted 30 April, 2016 Author Posted 30 April, 2016 cracking goal from Townsend to put newcastle 1-0 up
SuperSAINT Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 cracking goal from Townsend to put newcastle 1-0 up Could be a massive goal for them.
Saints foreva Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Cabaye misses a penalty. Awful penalty tbf.
SuperSAINT Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Cabaye misses a penalty. Awful penalty tbf. Newcastle are going to do it aren't they.
Saints foreva Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Newcastle are going to do it aren't they. They've got Villa next so looks that way.
angelman Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 cracking goal from Townsend to put newcastle 1-0 up He sure can hit a ball. I know everyone was aghast at the thought that we might have tried to sign him, but he isn't a bad player.

If Saints win tomorrow they'll be 2 points behind West Ham and are currently only 1 point behind Liverpool. West Ham and Man Utd's game in hand is against each other. They can't both get 3 points from it. West Ham will finish above us. They have 5 more points and a better GD with three games each to play. Plus we have Man City and Spurs to play. Liverpool are the only realistic team to catch but they i.) Are above us ii.) Have an extra game iii.) Have easier games iv.) Are a better team
Batman Posted 30 April, 2016 Author Posted 30 April, 2016 He sure can hit a ball. I know everyone was aghast at the thought that we might have tried to sign him, but he isn't a bad player. best player on the pitch today

They can't both get 3 points from it. We're now 5 points behind West Ham and Utd. I can't see us getting 5 points for the rest of the season, even if they get nothing in their last 3 games. We've got a remote chance of catching Liverpool, if they c*ck up a pretty easy run in against WBA, Swansea, Watford and Chelsea.

Lighthouse Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Sunderland's equaliser means Stoke can't catch us, barring a 26 goal shift.
ScepticalStan Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Sunderland's equaliser means Stoke can't catch us, barring a 26 goal shift. Yep. Not much to fuss about for the rest of this season other than staying above Chelsea for the dizzy heights of 8th rather than the crushing lows of 9th.

Ice2Eskimos Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Aston Villa leading 2-1 the entire game.. Chucked 2 goals in the last 3 minutes.

Are a better team I do agree with you with regards to reaching Europe, I don't think we will do it, but, http://www.sportsclubstats.com/England/Southampton.html this website above gives me hope- if we win all three games then that gives us a 90% chance for top 7 and for Europe (providing United win FA Cup)
SuperSAINT Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Great save Cech. Nice hit by Redmond. This! (Again)
VectisSaint Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 Ox ain't even on the Bench for the Arsenal. The Gunners can boast a clean bill of health following the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to training this week. However, the winger is still a little short of match fitness and is unlikely to make the squad.
Ice2Eskimos Posted 30 April, 2016 Posted 30 April, 2016 (edited) The Gunners can boast a clean bill of health following the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to training this week. However, the winger is still a little short of match fitness and is unlikely to make the squad. That isn't what Wenger said yesterday. Don't ask me to find the quote. I read it randomly browsing. But he could have been named today 100%. Cazorla was supposed to be a doubt aswell and he was named. Edit: found the article: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/arsenal-vs-norwich-santi-cazorla-alex-oxlade-chamberlain-line-return-1557401 Edited 30 April, 2016 by Ice2Eskimos
Saint Charlie Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Loads of changes for Liverpool at Swansea today. If we are going to make Europe (unlikely IMO) then this is the day Liverpool need to lose and we win.
SuperSAINT Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Loads of changes for Liverpool at Swansea today. If we are going to make Europe (unlikely IMO) then this is the day Liverpool need to lose and we win. Unfortunately, Swansea are sh*te.
Baird of the land Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Hoped Swansea would respond at home after several very sloppy displays. Let's just hope they can keep it up & we can do our part. Annoyed that i left Ayew out of my fantasy side though.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Then an Amat free header from 4 yards somehow over.
GarrettIvo Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 You would never expect a finish like that from Jack Cork.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Cork having a great game so far, even aside from the goal. Not sure of any area Clasie is better than Cork in to be honest. He isn't a world class player of course, but is so solid and reliable and has the stamina to be effective for 90mins.
fez Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Now we only have to draw this afternoon to overtake Liverpool and go 7th on goal difference
DuncanRG Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Can't rule out a Liverpool fightback, but this is a good start for the results which affect us.
Saint Charlie Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Now we only have to draw this afternoon to overtake Liverpool and go 7th on goal difference They have an additional game to play though so realistically we need to win today even if they do end up losing.
JxgrSaint Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 Nice one Swansea, hope it stays like this - 7th place beckons!
Pamplemousse Posted 1 May, 2016 Posted 1 May, 2016 They have an additional game to play though so realistically we need to win today even if they do end up losing. Their additional game is against Chelsea so it's not a guaranteed 3 points by any means.
