doddisalegend Posted 29 April, 2016 Share Posted 29 April, 2016 Pochettino verbally agreed to sign a new contract with Saints before going to Spurs and not signing it. I suspect he'll sign the one offered by Spurs though as they can offer title aspirations. This season was the season for spurs to win the title...next season the big boys will be back on form (new managers new big money signings) and spurs will drift back down to a more natural 5-6th... Ex-f*king-actly. This season has been a freak of a season on all fronts. Poch probably knows in the back of his head they've overachieved this season given how diabolical the usual suspects have been. The fans expectations will be through the roof. 2 months into this one they were calling for his head.
Chalkboy Posted 29 April, 2016 Share Posted 29 April, 2016 Assuming no big departures Spurs are set for a better season than this current one. One advantage they have is that they are a settled side. The big boys may strengthen but they may take time to get their act together. Having said that, Spurs seemed to have had very few injuries to important players and next season could be different. It will be interesting to see if they can replicate their form now the expectation is there. I hope not.
Saint Charlie Posted 12 May, 2016 Share Posted 12 May, 2016 Yeah that sounds good. For me to win he has to be Spurs Manager in their first game of the next season in August. For you to win he has to be at another club or out of work. Deal! Bit 1 sided but ok. On a side note. I notice the Potato's are taking the p*ss out of Le Tissier on FightingCock and getting all up their own arses about Poch's verbal agreement. Honestly I'll flipping wet myself if he walks. Poch said the same thing to us then walked out the door. Do you honestly think other clubs are going to let arguably one of the Top 5 managers in World football sign a 5 year contract without at least having a go themselves?.. When the ink is signed and dry on Levy's desk I'll honor my bet but F'me we're a long way away from that. This is looking more likely. If you haven't been banished to the Glasgow Rangers forum by then of course.
