If it's any help, I believe he was a Southampton manager at some time and was even regarded as quite successful, although his manner of leaving left some with a bad taste in their mouths. He has also managed a club that recruited one of our highly rated players and has improved its performances enough to help keep us out of the top 6. Wouldn't hurt Southampton to see this manager out of the Premier League. One other comment about Pochettino concerns a quote attributed to him over the charging of his player, Dele Alli, with violent conduct in the match with WBA. Pochettino is quoted as saying "Sometimes the opponents find him and try to provoke. They know he has a strong character and may react." An example of one thing that is wrong with football when managers try to defend the indefensible. Alli has yet to be found guilty, but that comment is actually saying that the victim of a physical punch asked for it. That is unacceptable anywhere and is certainly not something that should be used by a manager to excuse a sly assault by one of his players.

Some honesty by managers would be a breath of fresh air in the game, and fortunately, we have one in RK who is setting a good example. The common excuse as used by Pochettino, that "I didn't see the incident" used when it's one of the manager's players, doesn't stack up as they seem to see very clearly, incidents far away from them that would favour their team. When managers don't tell the truth, its not surprising that players cheat.

As much as I hate Levy, his business instinct and talent is outstanding. He's done us over so many times but the manner in which he's done it has been both ruthless and savvy. Poch and Hoddle left for more money, with the promise of more to spend and a higher League status. We got £8m for Richards too, unlike the man he was replacing who went off to Arsenal on a Bosman.

Ramos, Hoddle and Sherwood definitely weren't right for the job. Levy compounded problems by not showing more patience with AVB and Jol (IMO). The most successful manager they had was saggychops but they let him go too.

He's spotted what we were doing, then taken the manager and head of scouting to put it in place at Spurs. Genius! A true chairman with vision would have brought Poch in before we did. I also don't for one minute think that Levy could have dreamed that they would have had such a season. Certainly once the window closed last Summer, their fans were complaining about a lack of signings - in particular a striker, so Levy puts in a derisory bid on Berahino. There must have been a lack of confidence in Dier as a DM, otherwise they wouldn't have come in for Vic as soon as Toby complained that he was used to having more protection. Dier has turned out well for them, but I'm sure it wasn't the master plan. Could Levy have dreamed that Alli would make such a huge impact in his first season? Or that Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Man U would be so lacklustre thus giving Spurs their chance to be something other than 5th or 6th as usual? I'm biased, I hate that Uncle Festa lookalike. I see him as the rich kid in the playground with no ideas of his own, but the money to copy the poorer kids who have style and ideas. No, I would not want him here.

He may not stay 5 years but I expect him to do at least another 2 at Spurs. Why not, he has all the right conditions to do his work. I find that funny how this comes out just when he's being HEAVILY linked with Utd and in lieu of his PSG comments. I'd be willing to bet this is nothing more than Poch sending a message out to Utd which goes something like: "If you want me you better make me an offer I can't refuse". I know we've never liked him, but we're essentially hoping he gets a big promotion and pay rise! He's stinking rich anyway, so not much of a concern.
