Lighthouse Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Man City 1-0 against Stoke. Sort of good news if anyone gives a sh*t about finishing 8th or 9th.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Will be interesting to see if Liverpool will be docked points for this if proven http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36120459
Lighthouse Posted 23 April, 2016 Author Posted 23 April, 2016 Will be interesting to see if Liverpool will be docked points for this if proven http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36120459 Highly doubt it, unless it was somehow proved that the club were involved in doping.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Highly doubt it, unless it was somehow proved that the club were involved in doping. Don't think it matters if they were doing the doping does it, he was playing for them and had an influential role in some of there recent games when he should not of been playing, Liverpool now have acknowledged this by dropping him from future matches. UEFA should if proven guilty at very least consider some sort of sanction against the club, i'm sure all those teams including us who are chasing European football next season will be looking at that. Looks bad for them in UEFA cup too, most probably be hit with a large fine though
VectisSaint Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Will be interesting to see if Liverpool will be docked points for this if proven http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36120459 Why would they be docked points when the failed drugs test was after the Europa League match?
Lighthouse Posted 23 April, 2016 Author Posted 23 April, 2016 Well Stoke won't do us on goal difference You're ruling out a 26-0 defeat this afternoon then. Such complacency.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Why would they be docked points when the failed drugs test was after the Europa League match? Didn't say it was Europa league at the time it was 1st reported soz....... so looks more like a player euro ban now
Sheaf Saint Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 I'm watching the Derby v Sheff Weds game on Sky2, seeing as Wednesday are kind of my second team having lived up here for 12 years now. Lee Mason is refereeing and he's lost the plot - 9 yellow cards in what you couldn't really describe as a dirty game. Derby fans singing Oh when the Rams go marching in FFS. I really hope Wednesday beat them in the playoffs, because my dislike for Derby after what happened in 2007 has never really waned.
Batman Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Sheffield Wednesday have a tidy squad. Like they way they play too
Shance Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Don't think it matters if they were doing the doping does it, he was playing for them and had an influential role in some of there recent games when he should not of been playing, Liverpool now have acknowledged this by dropping him from future matches. Looks bad for them in UEFA cup too, most probably be hit with a large fine though I know loads will call for this but it's just not what happens is it. K. Toure got cought for the same substance at city and got a 6 moth ban and 740k fine, so i'd imagine it'll be much the same for Sakho.
whelk Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Great cup game this. Rooney playing superbly so far
iansums Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Great cup game this. Rooney playing superbly so far Stones very impressive
whelk Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 I think I might finally be over the 1984 semi. Actually pleased when Everton scored. Or maybe just want ET and pens
Chalkboy Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Fair play to Everton this half. Huge improvement. I like that Delofeu chap. Wonder if he fancies a move to the South coast?
Lighthouse Posted 23 April, 2016 Author Posted 23 April, 2016 Cruel on Everton really. Could see it coming a mile off with the chances they missed. Saints-esq.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 What a moment for Martial! Surely the end of Roberto Martinez's spell at Everton?
Chalkboy Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Hopefully with Man U's front line now, they don't need Sadio.
Dark Munster Posted 23 April, 2016 Posted 23 April, 2016 Surprised no-one has mentioned that Utd winning is good for us in Euro qualification. They are now one win away at Wembley from freeing up an extra EL spot (assuming they finish in the top 6).
wild-saint Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 cue Martinez being sacked and Koeman being linked to the Everton job for the next 3 months
Lighthouse Posted 24 April, 2016 Author Posted 24 April, 2016 cue Martinez being sacked and Koeman being linked to the Everton job for the next 3 months How is Everton an upgrade on Saints? They been in the bottom half for the last 2 years.
doddisalegend Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 How is Everton an upgrade on Saints? They been in the bottom half for the last 2 years. Last season they were able to hid behind the europa league this season has just shown Martinez up for what he is...
OldNick Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 cue Martinez being sacked and Koeman being linked to the Everton job for the next 3 months its about time clubs started to look at Eddie Howe, what a superb manager for a team like us or Everton.
Katalinic Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 its about time clubs started to look at Eddie Howe, what a superb manager for a team like us or Everton. If Koeman goes at the end of next season EH would be high up on Les Reed's list I would imagine.
benjii Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 Leicester winning after 10 mins 1-0, Mahrez Yet another refereeing blunder gifting them a goal. Got to wonder if they did a syndicate on Leicester at the start of the season.
adrian lord Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 If Koeman goes at the end of next season EH would be high up on Les Reed's list I would imagine. I wouldn't mind Benitez
Lighthouse Posted 24 April, 2016 Author Posted 24 April, 2016 Sunderland are going to do it again aren't they. Spend 3/4 of the season being utterly, utterly garbage and somehow stay up.
Batman Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 2-0 to Leicester, Ulloa Game over I reckon. Swansea don't even have a striker on the pitch
Lighthouse Posted 24 April, 2016 Author Posted 24 April, 2016 2-0, they're on their way. I only hope all that Champion's League money will go towards reinforcing their stadium.
whelk Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 Cash out on a £1 bet (at 5000/1) was worth just over £3000 before game. 25 punters with Hills have bets on. Going to be worth a little bit more after today
stockportsaint Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 Yet another refereeing blunder gifting them a goal. Got to wonder if they did a syndicate on Leicester at the start of the season. Come again? The blunder was by Ashley Williams playing that ball straight at Mahrez, who then finished very coolly.
benjii Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 Come again? The blunder was by Ashley Williams playing that ball straight at Mahrez, who then finished very coolly. After knocking the ball down with his arm, yes.
stockportsaint Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 After knocking the ball down with his arm, yes. Only on Sky's super duper slow mo. No Swansea player appealed for it. Sure you're not a Spurs fan in the wrong place?
whelk Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 After knocking the ball down with his arm, yes. You are coming across as a right pr ick. HTH
ScepticalStan Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 After knocking the ball down with his arm, yes. Not a penalty by any stretch.
Lighthouse Posted 24 April, 2016 Author Posted 24 April, 2016 After knocking the ball down with his arm, yes. You mean when Williams smacked the ball right at him and he wasn't expecting it? Don't be a plank, if you defend that badly you deserve to concede. You could see from William's reaction, he knew he'd c*cked up.
whelk Posted 24 April, 2016 Posted 24 April, 2016 palace in final so easy last home game for us I expect
