JonnyLove Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 A question to those who have season tickets in the family stand with kids So My dad and I are looking at season tickets in the family stand this year and also getting a ticket for my daughter. My question is if my daughter is unable to make a game because for example it's an evening kick off or she's not with me that week, do we have to move or are we ok to continue to use these seats? I am sure sometimes we can find some other kid to use the ticket but it's more of the in case we can't. Thanks in advance. Oh and reason for asking hear is that no one at the club actually knows, when I call them about it.

Colinjb Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 You should be ok, sat in there for a fair while with Dad, when we were both Adults, and there were no issues. Often parents would turn up without their kids.
Ex Ringwood Saint Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 Me, my dad (>65) and my lad (age 9) have 3 seats in the FC and my lad has missed three/four games this season- mainly evening KO's as we travel down from Fleet. No problem not using the child's ticket, loads do around us in the evenings loads more space!...the issue is you can't replace the kids ticket with an adult, unless you move. No problem upgrading the seniors ticket though!

As I understand it and was told by the club, if your daughter is not with then you cannot sit in the family stand. I pointed out that during evening games on school nights I was not going to take my children and that seemed to make no difference. If you upgrade her ticket the ticket office will ask you if you have children in your party. If you have none then they will not upgrade. Having said that I doubt anyone will notice if you attend without her.
damers Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 Hi, I have also got a senior, adult and child ticket in the FC and there is never an issue using the tickets without my son.

SaintBitterne Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 Yeah no issue but you won't be able to upgrade the child's ticket to an adults and remain within the family stand.

I have been in the Family stand since 2005 and been to lots of evening games on my own. You can upgrade a junior ticket to an adult - as long as you still have at least one junior with you - have done lots of times when one of my sons hasn't been able to come. Delboy Dave Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 What's to stop you taking an adult with you when your daughter can't go? I doubt anyone here with a season ticket has ever had their season ticket checked,I never have.

I doubt anyone here with a season ticket has ever had their season ticket checked,I never have. Now we have the automated turnstiles you have to be a bit careful because if you notice as you go through there is often a steward standing on the other side, next time you go through (without getting in the way) turn around and look at the lights at the top of the turnstiles each one has a coloured light box and as folks come through they light up in the sequence to correspond with the ticket type Adult - Nipper - Conssession so if you are going to blag it best send a blocker through to ask the steward a question needing directions. When our Girls had STs in the family section a couple of times I was able to trade up to an adult, which needed handing over the ST at the ticket office in exchange for a normal ticket and paying the difference. The Cat Posted 7 April, 2016 Share Posted 7 April, 2016 The light is a different colour but they don't always check. I've noticed a few people getting around the rules in there. Where we sat before there were 5 adults and one child in a group. When the child didn't go another adult would instead. This season there's an old chap sat by himself every week in front of us. Either the club don't care or they aren't enforcing the rules properly.
