Micky Posted 31 March, 2016 Posted 31 March, 2016 Minute in stature, massive in talent.... A brilliant wordsmith, thanks for the memories. RIP
Chalkboy Posted 31 March, 2016 Posted 31 March, 2016 "You're 'avin me on aren't you, yer 'avin me on?" : (((
John Boy Saint Posted 31 March, 2016 Posted 31 March, 2016 "For some time, my wife’s had this ridiculous idea that I’m playing too much golf. Actually, it came to a head at about 11.30 last night. She suddenly shouted at me: ‘Golf, golf, golf. All you ever think about is bloody golf!’ And I’ll be honest, it frightened the life out of me. I mean, you don’t expect to meet somebody on the 14th green at that time of night." RIP Ronnie Corbett
sadoldgit Posted 31 March, 2016 Posted 31 March, 2016 The Two Ronnies were brilliant comics and helped by some great script writers. The fork handles sketch was genius and brilliantly played out. I remember both Ronnies and John Cleese in the Frost Report back in the 60s which was also really good stuff. RIP Ronnie
Whitey Grandad Posted 31 March, 2016 Posted 31 March, 2016 He'd not been well for some time. Great memories, thanks for all the good times.
CB Fry Posted 31 March, 2016 Posted 31 March, 2016 Although Ronnie B wrote it, the real star of Four Candles is Ronnie C. Just brilliant reactions. Possibly my favourite sketch of all time is the one where Ronnie C keeps being thrown down the laundry chute in a hotel. Love it. What a life. RIP.
Kenilworthy Posted 1 April, 2016 Posted 1 April, 2016 Saw the two Ronnies live at the Gaumont/Mayflower in December 78 - absolutely brilliant
rooney Posted 1 April, 2016 Posted 1 April, 2016 Always liked the news one about the magistrates at Pagham? dismissed a case against a man for gross indecency because he had only been indecent 143 times.
