Shroppie Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 (edited) Brendan Rodgers ? Please no. Wouldn't mind Eddie Howe. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk Edited 18 March, 2016 by Shroppie
Roger Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Why would Eddie Howe come here? They spend more money than us.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Eddie Howe , but I'm not convinced he will come to us . One to keep an eye on is David Wagner at Huddersfield . He worked with Klopp at Dortmund & took over from Chris Powell in Nov . They're not tearing up the league but evidently he's changed their style & they're extremely well coached .
Pass the Dutchie Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 I don't think Koeman will leave anytime soon, but Ronald de Boer would be an interesting replacement. Or Erwin Koeman (which won't happen, I suppose). (Sorry for being very Dutch here.)
Kenilworthy Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 First choice would be AVB - still has a lot to prove in England. Or how about Hiddink?
Dig Dig Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Micky Adams would walk here for the job and would bring some passion to the role.
shurlock Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Can see the slippery slope this thread is now on (post 26 for the Big Ron sweepstake).
Buenos Aires Saint Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Is Stuart Gray still out of work after being dismissed by Wednesday? HCDAJFU?
Fan The Flames Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 The Middlesbrough boss for the chant alone 'our manager is Karanka, is Karanka'
Daft Kerplunk Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 And this post started why? Is Ronald leaving?
SNSUN Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Derby's new football advisor. Or Jordan's new manager, whichever triffic bloke loses their job first. Seriously I'd like Benitez if Newcastle go down. Still surprised he went there, he's better than that.
saintoaks Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 I'd have a sneeky bet on Hiddink. Good manager.
Crab Lungs Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Jorge Sampaoli but I'd imagine he'll get some pretty big offers so I'd go for Marco Silva. Started the Sporting revival and now at Olympiakos. Good looking bugger too.
Convict Colony Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Jorge Sampaoli but I'd imagine he'll get some pretty big offers so I'd go for Marco Silva. Started the Sporting revival and now at Olympiakos. Good looking bugger too. Been all over Jorge for a few years now, he speaks good English and fits in with our style plus he is a manager par excellence. I highly highly rated him, what he did with universedad and then the national team has been awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
St_Tel49 Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Eddie Howe by a country mile. Tactically astute and improves players. I very much doubt if he would leave Bournemouth though.
southbourne saint Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 David Moyes did fantastic on a limited budget at Everton.
Chalkboy Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 (edited) Who would I like?....Eddie Howe. Who is it likely to be? Staying with the Dutch connection, maybe De Boer. Edited 19 March, 2016 by Chalkboy
Badger Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Who would I like?....Eddie Howe. Who us it likely to be? Staying with the Dutch connection, maybe ..... . Mark Wotte & Jan Portvliet return ?

Daft Kerplunk Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 'if' being the key word mate. 'Who do you want if Ronald leaves? Or 'who would you want if Ronald were to leave/was to leave?' The first question suggests he might be going, the second is speculation in case he leaves. So maybe the original poster knows something we don't...
Katalinic Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Nailed on Eddie Howe. His wife has no desire to live anywhere else which narrows his options somewhat.
MarkSFC Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Eddie Howe is proving to be a coach who demands hard work and good skill, high tempo positive football; ideal for us. My only concern if we went for him straight after Kieman is the gravitas he has compared to the genuine legend Koeman is. We can only improve by signing a certain calibre of player and that would likely be harder with Howe than Koeman. However I think Howe is going to be a top manager. The dream manager for me (although won't happen) is Diego Simeone!!
sotonist Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Nailed on Eddie Howe. His wife has no desire to live anywhere else which narrows his options somewhat. spurious rumour time. southampton signed long term howe target charlie austin as part of pre-contract agreement.
eelpie Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 The Brexit answer would be to renegotiate better terms for Ronald to return
SFKA South Woodford Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Been all over Jorge for a few years now, he speaks good English and fits in with our style plus he is a manager par excellence. I highly highly rated him, what he did with universedad and then the national team has been awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm with you both on this one. Fantastic manager with a great record, does what Pochettino did but better, will improve the first team players and ensure that the academy gets used more than under Ron and that the players in it in the future will not only be ready for the first team but will be the equal of their respective first team player or better. Only issue is that he's bound to go to a bigger club than us.
jasonb Posted 18 March, 2016 Posted 18 March, 2016 Surely to god Clive Woodward has done his badges by now???
