Coxford_lou Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Nuns to be banned from match day threads please. Thank God.
BlakeySFC Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 I just thought it was a tongue-in-cheek joke to be honest.
Wrensup Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Do you have anything to say for yourself Matt le GOD?
doddisalegend Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 err....no...erm.....nah I've got nothing............
Dig Dig Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Thank God. Why would you thank a mythical being? This makes no sense and should have no place on a secular football forum.
suewhistle Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 I've just had a jolly good laugh reading this thread - better even than the Portsmouth takeover one. In spite of being an atheist I was bought up in the Methodist singing tradition and I've a suggestion for a song we can all sing at the end of the season: For all the saints who from their labours rest, Who Thee by faith before the world confess, Thy name, O [insert current hero], be forever blest, Alleluia! Alleluia!
hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Do we think mlg knew the ridicule his post would provoke? Or do you think he posted this thinking there would be broad agreement at the club's shocking behaviour?
Mr Biscuits Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Do we think mlg knew the ridicule his post would provoke? Or do you think he posted this thinking there would be broad agreement at the club's shocking behaviour? I think he's got his head stuck so far up his rectal passage he's using his belly button as a periscope.

hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 I prefer Lord thy church on earth is seeking.... "We've got big Fraser in our goal" to "He's got the whole world in his hands."
hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 (edited) "I will support Pelle I will cheer on Mane I wiil shout for Austin Forevermore!" "I will sing your praises." Edited 16 March, 2016 by hypochondriac

Special K Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Do we think mlg knew the ridicule his post would provoke? Or do you think he posted this thinking there would be broad agreement at the club's shocking behaviour? I think he posted it as a wind up and judging by the replies, he succeeded very well.
hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 I think he posted it as a wind up and judging by the replies, he succeeded very well. I don't see anyone wound up so it doesn't look like it to me.
Fan The Flames Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 MLG is a worse troll than Glasgow Saint He can't have been that bad I don't remember him.
hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 He can't have been that bad I don't remember him. He's been about 7 people so I'm not surprised.
simo Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Has anyone mentioned that they have posted messages for other religions too ? Happy Diwali etc
hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Has anyone mentioned that they have posted messages for other religions too ? Happy Diwali etc I'm not sure if it's all world religions we should be hating or just Christianity.
Special K Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 I don't see anyone wound up so it doesn't look like it to me. More to do with fishing Hypo and it did work, if indeed that was the motive.
hypochondriac Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 More to do with fishing Hypo and it did work, if indeed that was the motive. Judging by his previous outbursts against religion, I doubt he was joking. Mlg doesn't do jokes...
johnnyboy Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Judging by his previous outbursts against religion, I doubt he was joking. Mlg doesn't do jokes... I refer you to the op original post !!
suewhistle Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Is that the first time you've said that? (Absolve me, pater, quia peccavi...)
Viking Warrior Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Anyone know what squad number she will be wearing .
Pancake Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Nice try, no one is buying that. Just be man enough to admit your a count.
CB Fry Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Being that you have a rap sheet a mile long of you earnestly whining about religion in football on this forum, and as one of the single most humourless dullards this forum has ever known, I think you can rest assured that no-one, absolutely no-one, will believe you did this as a wind up. Stick to your little computer game world. Life is much simpler there.
Lighthouse Posted 16 March, 2016 Posted 16 March, 2016 Ah, the old 'act like a complete fruitcake, then act like the whole thing was all a big joke and you fooled everybody' routine.
Redslo Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 Do we think mlg knew the ridicule his post would provoke? Or do you think he posted this thinking there would be broad agreement at the club's shocking behaviour? I think he wanted to formally register his opposition to what the club did and pretty much didn't care whether people agreed or not. I should mention that I would generally agree that religion should be kept out of football, but I interpreted the clubs announcement as a joke/pun and, therefore, inoffensive. I do remember getting into it with some folks last year are religious related arguments here, but don't remember what they were about right now. For whatever reason, those were important enough to me to take a stand. This wasn't. I'm not sure if it's all world religions we should be hating or just Christianity. I am pretty sure that it is all, not just Christianity.
Redslo Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 This is an inappropriately placed endorsement of Festivus.

I look forward to hearing the argument you put forward to Rangers and Celtic fans. In other news, MLG is quite clearly an attention seeking child who thinks he's clever.

In other news, MLG is quite clearly an attention seeking child who thinks he's clever. I think the violence and bigotry that has flowed out of the religious affiliations of Celtic and Rangers fans demonstrates quite clearly why religion should be kept out of football. The fact that I might have difficulty convincing a die hard Ranger or Celtic fan of this would in no way suggest that my point of view was wrong.
Lighthouse Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 Celtic and Rangers fans aren't religious, they just use that as another excuse to go out and brain each other. There would be just as much violence if they were all Atheist, Hindu or Jewish.

Horley CTFC Saint Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 I just wished that people posting on here knew what secular meant!
The9 Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 I just wished that people posting on here knew what secular meant! That would (not) be an ecumenical matter.
John Boy Saint Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 ....... Come on Napalm, I'll play :-) Blessed are the cheese makers
Lets B Avenue Posted 17 March, 2016 Posted 17 March, 2016 This is an inappropriately placed endorsement of Festivus. "Festivus, yes. Bagels, no."
