Batman Posted 19 March, 2016 Share Posted 19 March, 2016 Obviously not a must win, but would be nice to win. I agree The manager has said a few times....which I am guessing is his way of building up the importance of the game and getting one over them unless, he actually believe we MUST win in order to have a real chance of qualifying for Europe

S-Clarke Posted 19 March, 2016 Share Posted 19 March, 2016 Firmino out is good news Looks like Firmino has done is hammy, he's out of the brazil squad for the friendlies. Also Milner is suspended as well, and Moreno is injured (although he doesn't seem to know how to defend when i've seen him)

Chez Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 Liverpool with their tails up is going to be tough, plus Lallana looks like he is playing with confidence, sadly. So it feels a little ominous for a painful afternoon, but then again they stuffed us last time, so perhaps the have had their day and we will upset the odds one more time. Looking forward to it. Mr Biscuits Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 Midfield need to nobble NFT as soon as he gets the ball. Other than that the team need to stick to the basics and grind out a win

Totally on our day we can be very good and match for anyone but sadly we haven't had enough days it's been a two steps forward to steps back kind of season. Yeah, it's been a strange season. We've had two good runs of form and 2 poor runs. Liverpool are improving, but we are almost back to full strength. Fancy us to win this 2-1 Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
stevy777_x Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 Wanyama looks upset and unhappy in the players arriving to the stadium video. I expect he has been told that he is on the bench today and not starting.

mattiiiboiii7 Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 Quick glance on the Liverfool forum, lots of chatter about 'the diamond formation' being back for them and that if that's the case they will, "rip us a new one" ... ...needless to say... igsey Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 Can't understand why Martina starts ahead of Cedric. Glad to see Romeu starting over Vic. I think Sturridge is due an injury, preferably before he scores against us! Firmino is out for them which is excellent news. Leo_ARG Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 I'm happy with the team, this 4-4-2 has a good balance. The only doubt in my mind is starting Clasie ahead of Wanyama. He is too weak and slow and doesen't win the ball back enough. Romeu has earned his place, I would never take him off.
cobbysouth Posted 20 March, 2016 Share Posted 20 March, 2016 In the last couple of games I've seen Martina in he's looked very capable; good at attacking, some decent crosses and most of all doesn't lose the ball that much when he bursts forward to attack. Been impressed with him tbh.

Certainly will need to be miles better than he was in the cup game.

Don't really need Wanyama against Liverpool - a lot of their players are quite lightweight. I mean, Coutinho looks like he weighs about 9 stone, there's nothing to him, he doesn't need physical presence to stop him, he needs someone quick who can prevent him being in space.
